Watered by the Aisne and Ante rivers, the flowery village of Villers-en-Argonne offers beautiful walking opportunities. Its church Notre-Dame, which dates from the 15th century, houses a bell-shaped cast iron font from the Abbey of Châtrices, which, according to the inscription, was forged in Les Islettes by Bastien Baillet in 1605. The castle of Villers, which dates from the 16th to the 18th century, is a private estate which cannot be visited but whose exteriors you can admire. It hosts a guest house in its hunting lodge in the heart of a beautiful wooded park with two remarkable scythes (twisted beeches) and a dovecote.
