A small rural commune, Orbais-l'Abbaye is home to a jewel of religious architecture. Visitors to the area shouldn't miss the abbey church. It's one of the finest Gothic churches in the region, with its three-storey choir and radiating chapels, 12th-century stained glass windows and 16th-century baptismal font. Built between 1155 and 1235, the abbey was founded in the 7th century by Saint Réol, Archbishop of Reims. Donations are currently being collected to help restore this jewel of local heritage. Two concerts are held here every year.
