Visit of the house of the river and wines, the museum which proposes wine tasting in Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt
La Maison du Fleuve et des Vins is housed in former 18th century wine storehouses and houses the museum of inland waterway transport, the fauna and flora area, the cooper's workshop and the showcase of the winegrowers of the Pays Foyen. In this place of memory, we find the environment of the people of the river and their traditions. Wine tastings are even proposed there. La Maison du vin de Sainte-Foy brings together about fifty producers, three quarters of whom carry out the vinification in private wine cellars, the others entrust their harvest to three producers' unions which are committed to sustainable agriculture, respecting the vine and the environment. We find here a large representation of appellation wines, red wines, dry whites and sweet whites for a large choice of vintages.
