Fouchères is a pleasant small village cut by the Seine. A stone's throw from the bridge that spans it, stands a splendid Virgin to the th century kid, perched on an elegant column and surmounted by a canopy framed with two angels. But the most beautiful treasure of Fouchères is undeniably the castle of Vaux. Magnificent remains high between 1720 and 1740, Vaux is the artwork of the architect Germain Bofferand. At the exit of Fouchères, towards Virey, a large driveway takes birth on the right. Vaux is at the end, 2 km away, standing up to the forest of Aumont.
