Chacenay is home to the château of the same name, last extensively restored in 1852. The origins of the first building, which has been altered many times, date back to the 10th century. The great Champagne families of Arcis, Choiseul, Anglure, Chaumont, Salazar and Dinteville have all lived here. Don't miss the interior décor with its light, frank tones and the sculptures on the fireplaces and staircases, which date from the 1852 restoration. A park adjoining the château extends out into the woods to end your visit on a bucolic note. Visits are by appointment only.
