The cellar has existed since the 10th century, around the castle of Chinon. It was Pierre Plouzeau who bought the family estate and who now perpetuates a unique and world-renowned - and often rewarded - know-how (as much for its rich and delicious taste as for its "organic" virtue). You won't be disappointed to discover this place dedicated to the good wines of Chinon! Visit this former troglodyte quarry converted into an ageing cellar. The best terroirs of the appellation are produced here: chinon, savigny-en-véron, beaumont-en-véron, ligré... More than 700 barrels and tens of thousands of bottles of the greatest vintages. You will find very famous wines: different estates are grouped together to select their finest products. In summer, remember to take a warm garment for the visit!

The Château de la Grille was founded in the 15th century. In 2009, Christophe Baudry and Jean Martin Dutour joined forces to promote great Chinon wines, with unique flavors and aromas in the region. These two passionate people will make you discover the characteristics of their beverage through a visit of the vineyard and the wine storehouse. You will be able to taste the red, white and rosé wines, while learning the secrets of the House. The ideal is to spend the day there, to also stroll in the pleasant park, with course and explanations around the castle.

Domaine de Noiré is located in the commune of Chinon, in the heart of the AOC appellation. The vines, some of which are over 50 years old, cover more than 14 hectares. The estate is planted exclusively with Cabernet Franc grapes. In 2014, Odile and Jean-Max obtained the Agriculture Biologique label. The Rouge caractère, the Soif de tendresse, or the pétillant: each wine has its own know-how and characteristics to discover! Feeling a little hungry while you're in Chinon? Visit the Ayrole patisserie-chocolaterie, known for its gourmet delights. Since it opened over a century ago, this address has been offering top-quality artisanal products. Today, pastry chef and chocolatier Patrice Ayrole is at the helm of this establishment, where his speciality is on display: the tarte du vigneron (trademark registered in 1994), the real thing, the only one, the best! You'll also find sweets such as "langues de femmes", another house specialty, and chocolates.

Pierre Colin, a pure Chinaman, has opened a very nice shop in Chinon. He could have become a rugby player, but he preferred gourmet pleasures. We thank him for having chosen this path as he is so talented and his creations are exquisite. After seeing him working in his glass lab, enter the shop and discover his lemon tart, or his rum baba.
