LA MALTERIE
A colossal building from the industrial history of the region, La Malterie houses about thirty workshops and hosts dozens of artists in residence. Artists, painters, graveurs, sculptors, video designers, filmmakers, musicians: here art expresses itself in all its forms. A currency: creation, dissemination and accompaniment to try to make artists autonomous. Indeed, La Malterie has a unique structure in France: its Centre Resource Arts Centre accompanies and trains artists on the legislative framework and how they organise their artistic practices. With its 33 workshops and studios, it also allows them to express their creativity in total freedom. But La Malterie also remains a friendly address for the little rock concerts that défouraillent. Low ceiling, the living room provides a sauna atmosphere from the first big guitar riffs! Nice moments of close proximity to the musicians! As for exhibitions and other public events, they allow a wonderful moment of exchange between the artists and the curious who dared to push the doors of this unique and incomparable place. A beautiful room with a human dimension, for a different atmosphere.
