Like the Majestic, the Métropole is one of those cinemas that have a soul and that want to preserve it. Hidden behind its beautiful facade, you can discover an art house cinema that is not to be missed in Lille. On the programme: independent French, European and foreign films (in the original version, please), but also short films that you will find hard to see anywhere else. It has the look of a neighbourhood cinema with its small surface area and intimate atmosphere... and this even though, since 2019, the Metropole has gone under the UGC banner. A great victory for the art house cinema which is revealed here in all its beauty and diversity!

Le Métropole, c'est un petit cinéma d'art et d'essai en plein centre de Lille, avec une programmation du tonnerre, une toute petite équipe très agréable, des salles intimistes. J'adore y aller car c'est un ciné à taille humaine, loin des complexes démesurés en vogue aujourd'hui. La carte UGC illimité permet par ailleurs d'y aller ainsi qu'au Majestic... que demander de plus ?
