Read moreThe Consell Regulador Denominació d'Origen Queso Mahón-Menorca is an organisation that was set up in 1985 to ensure the authenticity of Mahón-Menorca cheese (D.O.C. - Denomination of Controlled Origin). It is in charge of controlling the quality of the production and marking all the pieces. The cheese, made with whole cow's milk, is nowadays produced in about twenty farms. There are three types: soft, semi-dry and dry.
HORT SANT PATRICI
Read moreHere you will find the wines and cheeses of the small hotel-agriturismo (8 rooms) and the restaurant Hort Sant Patrici, the result of an artisanal production and in small quantities. An interesting visit during which you will discover the secrets of cheese and wine production, with a tasting of traditional island products at the end of the tour. We recommend that you take home the house merlot, excellent! Self-guided or guided tours of the cheese factory and the wine cellar are available on request.

Read moreSon Mercer de Baix is a well-known Ferreries cheese manufacturer whose white-walled finca (traditional Menorcan rural dwelling dedicated to farming) overlooks 125 ha of pasture where dairy cows graze peacefully. Popular products include the famous D.O.P. Maó-Minorca cheese, as well as more personal but no less delicious creations such as "Coeur de Mua". Son Mercer de Baix's products can be found in a number of prestigious boutiques on the island, as well as on the peninsula.
SA CANOVA

While the story began with the traditional production of the famous Mahón-Minorca cheese, Sa Canova went on to produce other cheeses with different flavors and textures, as well as a range of quality dairy products. Various farms on the island provide Sa Canova with excellent milk in large quantities. The Ferreries store is sure to please!

Unfortunately, the cheese dairy has no fixed point of sale in Ferreries. However, their products can be found in all the best delicatessens on the island, as well as on the stalls of the main artisan markets and gastronomic events.
TAST DE MENORCA
Read moreTastdeMenorca is a small shop located in the pedestrian center of Fornells. Gathering together some of the best artisanal products from the island's small producers, you'll find PDO Queso Mahón Menorca cow, goat and sheep cheeses, as well as embotits (typical cured meats) ranging from the classic sobrassada to carnixua and camot (traditional Menorcan cured meats). Products can be packaged for transport (by plane, boat...). Finally, you can opt for a tasting session before you check out!

You can find their delicious cheeses on site (direct sale from the farm), as well as in the main supermarkets and grocery stores on Menorca. You'll also find them at markets and gastronomic events around the island. Their farm is on the outskirts of Cuitadella, near the Naveta des Tudons (just past Binigarba Fromages!).
