Licors Biniarbolla, a family business specializing in the artisanal production of liqueurs for over 50 years, has changed its name to Colonia Suestra. The company holds the traditional recipe of the monks of Monte Toro de Menorca, which current owner Cristina Quintana inherited from her grandparents. The Maó-based factory distills a wide range of drinks and spirits, including the famous licor d'herbes. The herbs and fruits are macerated in such a way as to preserve the medicinal and digestive properties of each of the liqueurs (herbal, chamomile, lemon and mandarin). All these products are sold under the Biniarbolla name. But times are changing so much that Cristina has decided, in order to adapt to demand, to open up new perspectives for the distillery. In keeping with traditional processes, she began distilling gin! Glop gin is a raw-flavored product that honors the Menorcan terroir and its strong character, while iNNat gin is more nuanced, releasing aromas of juniper, pine, rosemary and lemon, not to mention a touch of red fruit and blueberry! Taking Biniarbolla, Glop and iNNat together, the company produces no less than 30,000 bottles a year! It's also worth noting that all bottling, labeling and sealing operations are carried out entirely by hand, lending an artisanal touch to this very local company.

This delicatessen specialises in the sale of Iberian hams and cold meats, wines and olive oil from the Balearic Islands, as well as Ibiza cheese. You can not only shop here, but also try before you buy: the large barrels set up in front of the shop, in the lively street of Sant Vicent, offer a perfect location for a small aperitif! Located 3 km from Sant Antoni, Can Rich, which presented its first wine production in 2000, is the largest winery on the island and is part (along with 3 other wineries producing local wine) of the "Vino de la Tierra de Ibiza" label. In this estate of more than 40 hectares, wine and 100% ecological olive oil are produced, as well as hierbas Ibicencas, the typical Ibiza liqueur. A quality delicatessen to stock up on local or peninsula products: Ibiza wines, ecological olive oil, sobrassada, bellota ham, etc. Founded in 1965 by Vicente Roselló, it was the first butcher's shop in Sant Antony de Portmany. Run by the same family for three generations, Vincente's grandchildren have become breeders, taking care of their own herds of cows and pigs on their farm called La Cigüeña Negra. There are two other shops on the island (Eivissa and Sant Llorenç).

This typical and well-known former colmado (grocery store) in the centre of Santa Eulària, founded in 1967 by José Mari Palau and now run by his daughter Margarita, has been transformed into a small shop selling traditional Ibizan products and offering a wide selection of wines and liqueurs, including the famous Hierbas Ibicencas. Opened in 2018, this grocery store created in Menorca lands in Ibiza to offer a complete selection of typical and gourmet Balearic products, as well as international specialties. This hippy market is very popular; dozens of sales points offer handicrafts, musical instruments... It is, according to us, the most interesting hippy market of the island, more typical and warm than the one in Es Canar. Besides, the owner of the place chooses himself the exhibitors at the beginning of the season, in order to favour the diversity of the products. Although a little less hippy than in the past, Las Dalias remains the most emblematic market on the island.

The craft market offers a wide range of local products (fruit and vegetables), but also Minorcan crafts: ceramics, avarca, decorative objects for the home... In the summer, the streets of the city centre host the "Night Market", which offers various leather goods and handicrafts. Concerts and popular dance shows liven up both markets. As for the street market, you can find everything! It's a great way to mingle with the locals and pick up some interesting items.

La Canela is a well-known bakery that opened more than thirty years ago on the island (in 1986 to be exact) where you can find local specialities: ensaimadas, flaó, greixonera, orelletes, and many other sweet treats. The shop is also a good option if you are feeling peckish, as you will find a wide variety of quiches, coques (the Catalan pizza) and empanadas. Everything is made with passion by meticulous bakers on the same day, and the choice of ingredients is not left to chance.

It is in a small street starting from the Plaça de la Constitució that you will find the pretty pastel blue room and the pleasant terrace of the Vivi's Creamery, the other good ice-cream parlour of the old town. In addition to a wide selection of ice cream in a variety of flavours (pistachio ice cream will tempt fans) - with sweets, chocolates and other tasty treats - you can also enjoy excellent milkshakes and refreshing smoothies. After working for many years as a butcher at the Maó market, Sergi Bosch decided to open his own meat and poultry store in Ferreries three years ago: Sa Carnisseria ("the butchery" in French). Founded in 1990, Sa Canova, a manufacturer of top-quality Minorcan cheese, has become a benchmark in the island's gastronomic landscape. While the story began with the traditional production of the famous Mahón-Minorca cheese, Sa Canova went on to produce other cheeses with different flavors and textures, as well as a range of quality dairy products. Various farms on the island provide Sa Canova with excellent milk in large quantities. The Ferreries store is sure to please!

Sales outlet for charcuterie, Minoan meat, garden vegetables and organic fruit. If you're staying in an apartment with a kitchen or barbecue, or want to buy healthy, ecological and sustainable products for your picnics, this is a highly recommended address. TastdeMenorca is a small shop located in the pedestrian center of Fornells. Gathering together some of the best artisanal products from the island's small producers, you'll find PDO Queso Mahón Menorca cow, goat and sheep cheeses, as well as embotits (typical cured meats) ranging from the classic sobrassada to carnixua and camot (traditional Menorcan cured meats). Miquel and Coloma, two Menorcan farmers, offer an excellent variety of artisan cheeses. Know-how, experience, tradition and quality! You can find their delicious cheeses on site (direct sale from the farm), as well as in the main supermarkets and grocery stores on Menorca. You'll also find them at markets and gastronomic events around the island. Their farm is on the outskirts of Cuitadella, near the Naveta des Tudons (just past Binigarba Fromages!).

Binibo is a small 10-hectare farm located in the south of Ciutadella and run by a Frenchman named Antoine Philipon. All its production has been certified organic since 2018: the man grows local vegetables on around two hectares and fruit trees on a similar area (figs, pomegranates, olives, citrus fruits and raspberries), while the rest of the farm's surface is left uncultivated and serves as a reserve for the island's natural biodiversity as well as a home for chickens and ducks. Two Formentera fishermen came up with the idea of marketing dried fish. Sold in supermarkets and specialist stores, it has also become a delicacy in the island's restaurants. The "Peix Sec de Formentera" brand markets dried fish in olive oil jars.
