Downtown Jacksonville, Florida, is a vibrant neighborhood in the heart of the city. Bordered by the magnificent St Johns River, it offers breathtaking views of the city. Bridges spanning the river make it easy to get from one side to the other, and it's also possible to take a water cab for a sunset stroll. The district is packed with restaurants, with over 90 establishments offering a variety of cuisine, from food trucks to upscale bistros. Must-sees include James Weldon Johnson Park, which features food trucks and live entertainment during the week, as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of History and Science. Sports fans can attend games of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars or the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the minor league baseball team. Downtown Jacksonville is also renowned for its art scene, with numerous galleries and public artworks scattered throughout the neighborhood. To get around, you can take the Skyway, a free means of transportation that links the two sides of the neighborhood in less than five minutes, or enjoy the magnificent views by taking the water cab.

Sanibel and Captiva Islands are two unspoiled islands in West Florida, accessible from Fort Myers via a 5 km bridge. Two-thirds of Sanibel Island is a nature reserve, the J.N. 'Ding' Darling Reserve, home to numerous species of birds, animals and exotic plants. A visit to this reserve is a must for nature lovers. On the island, you can also visit the lighthouse, symbol of the island, and the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum, featuring shells from the region and around the world. Shell collecting is a very popular activity on the island, and it's not uncommon to see people doing it as soon as the sun rises. Off Sanibel lies the USS Mohawk, a World War II ship that was recently submerged. To the north of Sanibel lies Captiva, a smaller island with a charming, colorful downtown and some lovely properties.
