Center dedicated to Ernest F. Coe, with 2 trails of 30 minutes, with some information on the local fauna and flora

Opened in 1996, this center is dedicated to Ernest F. Coe, who was responsible for the establishment of the Everglades National Park. We suggest you stop here to pick up some information on the local flora and fauna or to have a look at the small museum. Six kilometers further on, theAnhinga Trail and the Gumbo Limbo Trail await you, two 30-minute trails built on wooden pontoons. You will be able to observe many alligators and birds moving in all freedom.

Bon arrêt à l'entrée des Everglades: les rangers conseillent et distribuent des cartes avec explications en français, la visite est ludique et adaptée pour toute la famille.

Excellent accueil , on peut même avoir des conseils de balades en français à partir d'une carte détaillée. Visite ludique où on apprend beaucoup sur le park. Le Junior Ranger Guide pour les enfants est bien fait.

Le Visitor Center Ernest F. Coe est dans la lignée des visitor centers aux USA : des rangers très sympa, accessibles, de bonne humeur et qui conseillent de manière adéquate, un magasin pour les souvenirs et cadeaux, des WC.
Un bon arrêt à l'entrée des Everglades!
