A base camp for a discovery of the region… A few seconds walk from the city centre and 5 minutes from Tahoe Lake, the Basecamp is built in a motel style with a car park and 50 rooms arranged around an inner courtyard. We love decoration, rustic and contemporary style, extremely successful, with a fun map of the Tahoe lake created especially, guide to survival of the adventurer slipped into the office… The team knows the region well. Cherry on the cake: Breakfast is served on the large communal table. Muffins, pastries, fresh bread, bagels, fresh cheese and organic oatmeal. A very good address!

8 miles from Mariposa, about 30 miles before the park entrance (45 min drive to reach the park). Difficult to locate. Laundry facilities, TV room, shuttle to the park, internet access. A café-restaurant makes it possible to relax with tasty little dishes for a youth hostel.

Built in 1938, the Rest Haven Motel is a quiet retreat, a 20-minute walk from the famous Third Street Promenade. The frame offers basic comfort but remains warm. We feel here as at home. We love the entrance of the motel with the enlightened sign in neon and the facade full of flowers. A little coup for rooms overlooking the inner patio, a true haven of peace. Free Wi-Fi and free parking.

Vaguely Polynesian decoration transports you (vaguely also) in another country. The rooms are very comfortable. Good value for money.
