Youth hostel with a range of prices, near the beach in San Diego, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere.

We love this hostel, located just a stone's throw from the beach, on the busiest street in Ocean Beach. The decoration and the colorful murals make it probably one of the most pleasant places to stay in the area, in this price range. On the agenda: relaxing with other backpackers - and digital nomads - in the courtyard, surfing and free yoga once or twice a week. All this in a relaxed, almost hippie atmosphere. Every morning, unlimited coffee and self-service breakfast are the order of the day.

施設のメンテナンスもスタッフも場所も良かった。加えて、朝食も付いていた。鍵をなくしたが、きちんと対処してくれた。楽しい日々を過ごせました。感謝します。

Absolutely terrible service and I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here ever again.

Was trying to help my mom check in one night while she was in the States visiting me last year, and because we weren’t white (and yes, I AM using the race card here), the front desk associate working at the time was treating us like we were a ticking time bomb or something. Basically treated me and my mom like 2nd class citizens.

Long story short, we ended up leaving.

Even Hostel on 3rd located in the Gaslamp Quarter is better.

I had to leave the first night as there are no conditions for a human being to sleep even few hours there or at least it was my case … my roomate was smelling so bad, very dirty, he has 40 boxes of medicine and was snoring all the night. I can understand the price which is very cheap but I can’t understand how a human can sleep there especially with a smell like the one I got in my room. No isolation, extreme loud noises from other rooms during all the night …. I booked another accommodation which costs almost the double but believe me the conditions are seriously bad there …

It’s a hostel, so there is at least 3 other people in the same room as you are.. however, it was pretty clean, bathrooms were spotless, rooms are sound proofed.. people at the reception are friendly & helpful.. I love the location cuz I love ocean beach & how it’s close to lots of restaurants, bars & shopping stores

My Husband and I stayed here just this last week for the first time and we loved it! Had such a good time that we extended our stay for the day. The staff is great, and the atmosphere is really a positive community vibe. We we're worried about being too old (46 and 45) but there was a great mix of ages and people and everyone talked to each other. The community spaces were clean. Stay on a Wednesday so you can go to the night farmer's market! If you get a chance, the swings are a great place to sit on the front porch and people watch! We stayed in a private room with a double bed, sink, toilet and shower. Next time we are in the area, we will be staying there again!
