Founded in 1945, it is the largest independent contemporary music school in the world. Quincy Jones and John Mayer attended it! It is located in the Back Bay area. This world-renowned dance company offers both classical and contemporary repertoire. When it was founded in 1963, it became the first dance company in all of New England. It is also home to the largest ballet school in North America. Its repertoire includes classical, neo-classical and contemporary works. Jacques, to those close to him, is a Boston night spot, particularly popular with the LGBTQ community and for bachelorette parties. The brick façade doesn't look good, yet this cabaret is quite famous in Boston. It has been presenting transformative shows for many years and is an integral part of the city's gay scene! This Boston club with its resolutely rock programming can boast of having welcomed big names from the alternative rock scene, but not only: a concert by the band U2 took place there a few years ago. R.E.M. and Steve Earle also performed there.
