This 4-star hotel facing the sea, recently renovated, does not really lack charm. Very nice reception, nice coffee and bright and modern rooms. The view from the roof terrace is nice. Booking recommended in season, by contrast restaurant restaurant to really avoid.

As pensions disappeared in Ribeira Brava, there is no longer much choice for small budgets. For those who want to enjoy a stay in a character quinta with more than three centuries of history, here is a suitable offer and, given the large space allocated, at truly reasonable prices. Above Câmara, in a rural environment around agricultural areas (banana, flowers…) and wine, three comfortable rooms (with three bathrooms) and outbuildings are decorated with typical furniture from the island. The beautiful adjoining chapel is sometimes rented for weddings and baptisms and a cellar underneath is dedicated to tasting Madeira wines produced in the area.

In a rural, quiet setting, three wooden huts, inserted into a flowery and fruity garden (serve freely), dominate the ocean (sunsets are just opposite). With a surface of 25 m ², they comfortably accommodate 2 adults (and 2 children). The bulk of the equipment is: air conditioning, private bathroom, Wi-Fi, kitchenette but no TV (deliberate choice) as well as a pool and barbecue in common. On request, a shopping cart is offered.
