In order to safeguard the important musical heritage of Madeira, this regional meeting of philharmonic bands expresses the public's appreciation for the incomparable gaieté they provide during the typical Madériennes festivals. On Sunday, all bands participate in a parade in the main streets of Ribeira Brava before concentration on Marginal Avenue, where each presents a repertoire, then final with the execution, by all the bands, of a hymn composed specially for the event, taking the trophy, followed by a convivial party offered to all the speakers.

The European Cup of Combined Tests is promoted by the Athletics Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
