Domaine de La Tuque lies at the heart of unspoilt countryside on a promontory overlooking the imposing fortress of Château de Biron. This 6-hectare vineyard, the only one of its kind in the Monpazier region, is a special place, which 2 passionate winegrowers Gilles and Vincent have decided to revive on a unique terroir, by replanting forgotten grape varieties and working in organic production. The estate is open to visitors all year round, and offers red, rosé and white IGP Périgord wines made from Abouriou, Colombard, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Located in AOC Médoc, not far from Lesparre, Château Grand Lacaze cultivates red wine on these 7 hectares. The grape variety is in Cabernet sauvignon and Merlot on a soil sablo-gravelly. The castle produces 40 000 bottles per year. Fermentation is made at 28-30 ° C with 2 to 4 combined per day. After a 3-week maceration, breeding takes 12 months in French oak barrels. Count € 10 for a Grand Lacaze Castle 2008 (Bronze Medal in Paris). Unfortunately the castle does not sell to the property, but you can buy it in the hotel hotels including the Hotel des Quatre-Soeurs and the Opera house in Bordeaux. The vineyards of Château Pontet Canet are located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation, south of the Mouton Rothschild estate. A visit to the château is quite unusual: horses can be seen moving among the vines. This ancestral human-animal method respects the vines and the terroir. The grapes are harvested by hand, using crates rather than baskets: they are transferred directly from the vines to the sorting table. This Grand Cru Classified in 1855 is certified organic and biodynamic. A fine approach!

The wine-growing history of this land goes back to the 6th century, with vintages such as vertougit and sajueix, whose reputation was such that the monks of the Abbey of Cluny used to buy them. At the beginning of the new millennium, a group of friends formed a cooperative and revived the vineyard by reintroducing Chenin, Sauvignon Gris, Chardonnay for the whites, Merlot and Cabernet Franc for the reds and rosés. Gilles and Etienne de Conti, two cousins from a family of Bergeracese winemakers, manufacture their organic beers in a small building which, as a decoration, has planted two feet of hops. After a lot of commotion around the world, they had the idea of creating their own beer in the wine country. The name Lapépie comes from a local expression: it means that we are thirsty… Brune, blonde or blonde beers are made from natural products: water, organic malt, hops, yeast and sugar. They are fresh with a very mild bitterness and easily marry with all the dishes.

The boutique is a great place to stop and stock up on souvenirs! It is attached to one of the oldest wine cellars in the Entre-deux-Mers region, established in 1936. For over 70 years, Château Bellegrave wines have been cultivated by the Bouldy family with respect and love for the vines. In 2001, Jean-Marie Bouldy, the second generation, began converting the estate to organic farming in order to preserve the qualities of this special terroir. However, it wasn't until 2009 that the conversion to controlled organic farming became official. In this remarkable Renaissance residence, built on the ruins of a fortified castle on the heights of Entre-Deux-Mers, the Le Grix de la Salle family has been cultivating vines for 4 generations. During your visit, the owner will show you the château's ^16th-century courtyard and pepper-pot towers, as well as the historic wine storehouse and panoramic vineyards, not to mention the fascinating biodiversity. Sébastien Coularis has opened this Entrepôt on the route de Soulac, north of Lesparre. He advises both professional and private customers on their choice of wines, with a particular focus on the little nuggets he regularly unearths. While he focuses on Medoc and the whole range of Bordeaux wines, he also offers wines from other regions and abroad. There's also a wide range of producers' beers, arranged rums, whiskies, ciders and regional products.

Established since 2016 in a small Charente village, Brasserie des Gabariers is a charming regional microbrewery that brews unique, high-quality beers. Situated between vineyards and cereals, it produces top- and bottom-fermented beers with a capacity of 7,500 hectoliters. Its brewers create "traditional" beers as well as original recipes based on Cognac XO and Pineau des Charentes, drawing on local know-how in blending. Everyone knows Imanol Harinordoquy and his career as a rugby player, full of titles. Here, in his own image, he has created a wine cellar with a warm atmosphere, and a dining cellar with tasty dishes, cassolettes, charcuterie boards and oysters to share. A favorite among the grands crus classés, Château le Chatelet is located near the collegiate church and the bell tower overlooking the monolithic church, and next to the old church of Saint-Martin de Mazerat. The notoriety of this cru needs no further confirmation, for as early as 1867, the international jury at the Paris Exhibition awarded it the Gold Medal. Created in 2010, the cellar was taken over by Hugo and Rémi, two epicureans sensitive to the land and to the work of man, who had already opened together the wine bar La Barrique. From pig farming to vineyards, this family has gone through several formative stages, from father to son. Pork first, and still relevant today since the ^16th century: "Abotia in Ispoure has been supplying pigs to the inhabitants of Pamplona since 1530", according to the archives. Faithful to the tradition and to the unchanged production for centuries, Lindy and David have realized their dream with this brewery where, from malted barley, hops and English yeast, they have created blond, amber, russet beers and a honey blonde. Obviously, Macbeth is not far away, if you enjoyed the tragedy, you will enjoy even more the King Lear and its hazelnut finish, the Three Witches which, with its strength and intensity, will make your wishes come true, or the Damned Spot which ends on a hint of chocolate, much softer. Château du Coureau is a 68-hectare family estate that has been farmed for five generations, and is surrounded by part of its own vineyard.
