We owe the history of this mythical cake to Joseph Grellier, a baker who kept the family recipe. It is honored in this store of 200 m², with tea room and terrace. The manager of the company opens his workshops to all the curious. Sweet or savoury, Le Vinaillou's biscuits can be eaten as an aperitif as well as a dessert, such as butter and lemon cakes, biscuits made with Cabernet-d'Anjou or even made with hypocras, a spicy medieval aperitif. A tip: if you want to see the biscuit maker at work, come preferably in the morning.

Read moreComing out of this production place, we find the cookies part, the jams, caramels, chocolates in winter and ice creams in summer. In the caramels range, the delicious caramels with prunes ("min-min"), caramel creams flavoured with specula, hazelnut, vanilla, salted butter and chocolate caramels. Range of cookies: plain and flavoured shortbread, cookies... All the products are handmade, on the spot, without coloring or preservatives, using butter from the Laiterie de Montaigu and flour from the Moulin de la Voltière in La Garnache.
