What to put in the atmosphere, since Etampes and its region have been labelled Countries of Art of History. Here, several sculptures adorn one of its facades, while animal friezes run along the roof. The interior of the home has little to do with past good, but one can always be happy to imagine François I visiting his favorite, the duchess of Brands, while watching the exhibitions there. The Office organises guided tours of the city: Grand royal circuit, old pavés circuit, route of favorites, duchesses, churches circuit, circuit of mills and washing machines. It publishes very didactic booklets that allow to leave alone to discover the city. You can also download on its site of the audioguidés routes or borrow mp at the office for two walks: Through the water and downtown. In the programme also, hiking around the area, duly recorded on many documents.

MANSION OF SAINTE-MESME - MUSEUM OF MILITARY COSTUME
Read moreThe Military Costume Museum is located in the outbuildings of the splendid manor house of Sainte-Mesme, privately owned by the General and Countess Louis de Lambilly. The manor itself deserves a detour: with its octagonal tower, its vis staircase, its colombages, its French ceilings and its exterior decoration, it is one of the few models of civil architecture of the th century in Île-de-France. The museum's visit, the interior of which has been completely restored, allows to discover 90 nature-sized models with French, British, American and German military attire, thus presenting more than two centuries of history, from 1870 to the present. The collection was based on family memories and donations from visitors. We also discover ceramic objects, ex-voto of Gallo-Roman times (dedicated to the goddess of Silgina waters) and other prehistoric silex updated during sanitation, and then excavations on the site.

THE PARIS COURTHOUSE
Read moreThe Paris courthouse occupies four hectares on the island of the City. Every day, there are judges, prosecutors, lawyers, gendarmes, police officers and defendants, not forgetting the public attending the trials, as well as tourists wishing to visit Sainte-Chapelle and concierge. These last two sites are part of the remains of the Palais-Royal, which found itself there from the th to the th century. It is also because of the presence on the ground of the King that courts of justice have settled in an area which has subsequently ceased to be amended and matched: monumental grid of the Palace Boulevard (in the 36 th century), buildings side of Harlay and seat of the judicial police at, Quai des Goldsmiths (th). Nevertheless, these premises were too narrow and a major project was born: that of the Judicial City of Paris in the 17 th arrondissement. The work was completed in July 2017.
