THÉÂTRE DE LA HUCHETTE

Theater

The director in stage Georges Vitaly initiated the creation of this open room in 1948. It is located in the old Paris of the Latin Quarter. The address was in the Caucasus, an Armenian restaurant hosted by Charles Aznavour's parents. Vitaly's goal is to have a place where to create new authors'performances such as Jacques Audiberti, Guillaume Hanoteau… Young actors made their first teeth there: Jacqueline Maillan, Claude Gensac, Pierre Mondy, François Chaumette, Jacques Fabbri, Michel Roux, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Zillah Chelton… Party to head the theatre of La Bruyère in 1952, Vitaly gave the direction of the room to Marcel Pinard that allows Ionesco to see her works mounted. Since February 16, 1957, the Bald Singer and the Learning of this Ionesco are played here. This is a record of global longevity! However, everything had gone wrong for these parts. The first was raised by Nicolas Battle aux Night in 1950, the second by Marcel Cuvelier in the Pocket Theatre the following year. Both have experienced a great deal of failures before they return to La. In 2007, the fiftieth anniversary of the event was celebrated. This says, in this small room of seats, the creation in the second part of the evening during which a recent piece is given, this time as in any theater! It should be noted that the theatre of La Death has been under the control of its actors since the 1960 s.

LE PETIT PALAIS MUSÉE DES BEAUX ARTS DE LA VILLE DE PARIS

Concert hall for classical music opera and dance

Le Petit Palais offers over 22 000 square metres a rich collection of works of great diversity: antique bronzes, icons, Flemish and Dutch paintings, tapestries, furniture, porcelain… You will also find a charming small garden surrounded by colonnades, with mosaic basins, and a café where you can spend a relaxing moment. The concerts given here at midday connect classic musicians with other artists from jazz or song. The concept proposed by Arièle Butaux, in perfect conformity with the project, could not stop so much as it met with the visitors. The dialogue between artists from different musical backgrounds and the strong emotion that emerges from each of these meetings on the stage of the auditorium is the living response to the principle of confrontation in the galleries of the museum. Paintings, sculptures and objects of art are highlighted in permanent collections and, in the auditorium, the other arts are at the honour of revealing in a lively and dynamic manner the multiple influences of artistic currents.

Four universities are present in Sorbonne - Paris I, Paris III, Paris IV, Paris V -, as well as the rector of the Paris Academy, the School of charters and the Ecole normale des Hautes Etudes. There are various trainings, including the Choir and Orchestre de Paris-Sorbonne, the pre-professional formations associated with the FACULTY of Music and Musicology of the University Paris IV-Sorbonne. Since you cannot enter these high places of education if you are not a student or teacher, concerts represent wonderful opportunities to discover them. COLLÈGE DES BERNARDINS

Concert hall for classical music opera and dance
Open - Close to 18h00

Inaugurated in 2008 and blessed by Pope Benedict XVI, this Catholic cultural centre hosts exhibitions, meetings and theology courses. Concerts are organised on average once a month, and are well worth the effort, as they are performed by top-notch musicians in the magnificent setting of a large nave with ribbed ceilings, or in the large auditorium. Dating back to the 13th century, the building is a vast medieval stone ship that is a spectacle in itself. Completely renovated, this vestige of the school buildings of the old Latin Quarter comprises a superb Gothic nave with columns and ogives, as well as meeting rooms and an auditorium in the basement and upper floors. A small garden has been created to the left of the forecourt. The restoration work was carried out jointly by Herbé Baptiste, chief architect of the Monuments Historiques, and architect-designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte. The Cistercian-inspired building was built to train young monks from all over Europe. During the French Revolution, it was sold as national property, then successively used as a prison, warehouse, fire station and police boarding school.

Pop rock and variety concert hall

At its creation in October 1999, the Footprint essentially proposed rock and metal programming. Over the years, the hall has forged an increasingly important reputation by opening up to other musical styles. Not gay but a reference of the cabaret transformiste in Paris. The frame is tiny, a little dark but lit by the dozens of photos of Michou and the stars he received in his den. Compulsory booking, as many tourists as they came into the group and abroad. The evening begins with dinner, served by artists-michettes, but in the attire of a theatre boy. The base remains mediocre but we do not come to this: a show of more than two hours on a poche, funny even so old: Moreau, Mathieu, Aznavour, Cher, Farmer, Madonna, Vartan, Bardot and many other gay icons, the program varies according to evening, with also live songs from Dalida and Wee Jeanmaire, the participation of the room. If you do not dine, you can just see the journal (55 € without drinks, 60 € with a drink). After all, this is the best place to see the show, why not in love. Michou is not there every evening, but when he is there, he papillonne table and mute the old adage: " We don't have twenty years of age "! Unforgettable…

Over 4,200 square meters, and for almost 30 years, the best circus companies from France and abroad have come and gone: the place is a place of effervescent creation. La Villette also provides accommodation for artists and companies in residence: the Chapithôtel. In summer, the Espace Chapiteaux is transformed into a leisure area.

To achieve this, the Amin Théâtre and its director are now working in this place that loves its young audience.
