THÉÂTRE DU MARAIS

Theater
4/5
1 review

The theatre of the Marais began in the th century. At the time, the Marais is already a fashionable neighborhood and popular actors look for a place where they could represent themselves. It is then that the "marsh of the Marais" is formed in the room of the palm game street Old-du-Temple. This is where Corneille's first "Le Cid" will be played in January 1637. After a few years of success, the theatre took fire in 1644 and was completely renovated. The troupe no longer met the same success and it was only at the end of the th, with a renovation and the parts of Beaumarchais, that the theatre regained its lustre of yesteryear. Today, this place, which is located in Volta Street, lives with modern pieces. Since 2009 the theatre of the Marais is managed by Sébastien Autret, Charles Petit and Quentin Paulhiac. The great story continues…

This is a part of the company "Les Screens de Paris" which represents a circuit of five independent cinemas. The aim of these cinemas, such as that of the Reflet Medici, is to broadcast authors'films, all in comfortable rooms and enjoy a performance performance. On-site staff know the history of the cinema with a warm welcome. Before being a cinema of 3 rooms, the establishment was, until 1964, a theatre theatre named Le Théâtre des Night. The public is thus born on the boards two stars of the big screen: Gérard Philipe and Maria Casarès. In the Medici room 3 of 94 blue chairs, one can observe an original colorful stained glass stained glass window. In addition to organising quality festivals throughout the year, the Reflet Medici fully disseminates the selection of Cannes Festival, A Certain Look within one week of the official closure.

Since the 1980s, this small, 50-seat theater, which in the 1950s premiered plays by audacious authors such as Genet and/or foreigners, has been presenting shows by young talent - authors, actors, directors, companies. Since 2002, we've been offering training workshops that provide conditional access to the Guichet Montparnasse stage. This venue also offers shows for young audiences.

Since 1980, the Italian Comedy has been established in a former commissariat. A nearby boutique has been attached to expand the entrance hall. This room of a hundred seats exclusively from the pieces of Italian, Classical and Contemporary authors, many of which have never been presented in France. His founders are actress Hélène Lestrade and director Attilio Maggiulli, former student of the Piccolo Teatro of Milan past the Comédie-Française and the Sun Theatre of Ariane Clown. He is a specialist in the Commedia dell'arte, who founded the Teatrino Italiano from Montparnasse in 1974 on rue du Maine. Pantomimes, texts by Ovid, Goldoni, Machiavelli, Casanova, Malaparte, Gramci, Pavese or Pasolini were mounted here in French. The company was created by the Railway Henri Dumay in the 1940 s. At the Valhubert theatre, located in Paris-Austerlitz station, it has set up many classic and contemporary pieces. What it continues to do, always linked to the world of rail via the comité d'etablissement SNCF de Paris Rive Gauche. The team moved from 2002 to 2008 in a former sports complex on the Rue du Chevaleret. As the latter was promised to destroy, acrobats returned their luggage to the Nap Theatre - 300 seats. We are not born under the sign of travel for nothing! In 2009, after a two-year renovation, Espace Flute reopened its doors. It retains its primary vocation with the presentation of quality performances.

It's a superb Italian-style theatre with 730 seats. The Théâtre de la Madeleine has a remarkable elegance. It was built in 1924 on the site of a horse-riding arena. Sacha Guitry staged many plays here in the 1930s and 1940s, including "N'écoutez pas, Mesdames", as did André Roussin in later decades. The acting couple Simone Valère and Jean Desailly have directed the company. In recent years, Audrey Tautou, Eddy Mitchell, and Roschdy Zem have enjoyed great success.

THÉÂTRE COMEDIA

Theater

1 review

For a long time, the Parisians had this theatre of nine hundred and ninety places under the name of Eldorado. It is also known as a first room built here in 1858. It is a luxury coffee shop where you can sing, dance and drink, as well as just, but where you can also watch small pieces and pantomime or dance numbers. This was created in 1868 a poem by Jean-Baptiste Clément entitled Le Temps des Des. After being put in music by Antoine Renard, we know what fate he will know. Many artists go to Eldorado as a beginner before they go back to their features: Paulus, Yvette Guilbert, Mistinguett, Mayol, Polar, Dranem, Maurice Chevalier. In 1918, establishments of the Maori'conc'type went out of fashion, so Eldorado went to Music Hall. There are magazines, as well as vaudevilles and operettas. A Yiddish theatre will then implement it before the room is demolished, then rebuilt in 1933 to become a cinema of two thousand places. The room will keep its aesthetics 1930. In 1971, Eldorado returned to the Live Show. In 1994, Maurice Molina, the new boss of the sites, began a renovation of the site. It was the Rebaptisera theatre in 2000. The program is eclectic from Goldoni to Knight and Laspales. Note: Classic mornings are offered in this room by L'Ecla Theatre.

The history of the Théâtre des Blancs-Manteaux began in 1972. A mecca for café-théâtre humour and non-conformist chanson, it has welcomed Renaud, Jacques Higelin, Alex Métayer, Michèle Laroque, Virginie Lemoine, Marianne James, Anne Roumanoff... Today, humour is still the strong point of this small theatre, which comprises two rooms, each with around one hundred seats. A long-standing address for artists'magazines, the Ten Hour Theatre today presents some man shows and loud comedies. At the location of this 1890 th place hall, there was first a cabaret of arts inaugurated in. He took his current name in 1925 under the direction of Roger Ferréol. He borrowed him from a Tirade tirade - in Les Linottes - referring to the fortune enjoyed by a theatre if he presented gay shows at 10 a. m. With artists such as Martini, Noël-Noël, Dalio, Saint-Granier, Jean Rigaux, Marguerite Moreno, Jeanne Fusier-Irm, he succeeded in creating a loyal audience. From the 1950 s, new talents are emerging: Oleo, Jean Breton, Jean Poiret, Michel Serrault, Anne-Marie Carrière, Thierry Le Luron… In the early 1980 s, the Ten Hour Theatre was directed towards theatre, notably under the direction of Michel Galabru and his son. You can see it by Mom or give me your linen, I make a machine, Didier Bénureau and Muriel Robin. He was the sponsor of the place when Michel Joyeau and Michel Miletti took their head in 1990 - in partnership with Just for Laughs since 2007. Laughter and song are in the spotlight. In the first category come to work Elie and Dieudonné, Franck Dubosc, Patrick Bosso, Stéphane Guillon, the Jamel Comedy Club… And in the second: Juliette, Marie-Paule Belle, Guy Montagné, Hervé Vilard, Nicole Croisille…

The Bout was created by the company Les Cousins d'Arnolphe, which had the project to give the café-theatre the letters of nobility it deserves, to prove that it is a full theatrical discipline, a formidable way to address the essential issues of life. Their performances have travelled through the halls of Paris and elsewhere, with the support of Sylvie Joly, Yves Lecoq, Philippe Bouvard or Catherine Lachens, patron of the Café-Theatre school who sits at the End. The site opened in 1999. With 50 seats, the Bout Square room features mainly one man shows and the creations of the house troupe. In addition, there are open scene evenings and children's shows. In 2007, a second room was opened. Named The Round Round, it is specialised in the stand-up. Here is a little Bout with great ambitions!

Indeed, the Centquatre brings together in a single, very large space, various sites of artistic creation and production open to all disciplines, and which offer various shows, screenings, readings, performances, exhibitions, workshops for young people or adults... What a lively place, on the very spot where the municipal undertaker's service - a building dating back to 1873 - was in operation until 1997. HOUSE OF RADIO AND MUSIC

Radio France, which brings together all public radio stations, plays an important role in the world of music. Four groups depend on it: the Orchestre national de France conducted by Daniele Gatti, the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France conducted by the Finnish Mikko Franck, and the Maîtrise de Radio France, conducted by Sofi Jeannin. The Radio France choir is the partner of the other three groups. The latter perform in several halls in the capital and elsewhere, but also in the walls of the "round house". This amazing building has just been completely renovated. The new auditorium is a concert hall with 1,461 seats, installed in balconies and distributed around the stage and musicians. The spectator is never more than 17 m from the stage. The acoustics are fabulous. Another room: Studio 104, with its 856 seats, welcomes all musical genres and major programmes from Radio France channels. Finally, studios 105 (237 seats) and 106 (137 seats) are dedicated to public broadcasts and more intimate concerts. Every Saturday, guided tours allow you to discover the history of the round house.

The 3 Luxembourg has made a new skin! Nearly 7 months of work was required to renovate this art cinema and historical test. First of all, you'll be seduced by the appearance of this theatre on a boulevard with a lot of land. And inside, in this Italian room of 630 places, the charm continues. The theatre des Batignolles was opened in 1838. He became the Theatre of the Arts in 1907 and then took the name of his new director in 1940. A playwright and journalist, Jacques Hébertot already directed the Théâtre-Elysées theatre from 1920 to 1924. In 1946, during a large renovation of the theatre, the staircase ramps installed on the sides of the building and the letters H appeared throughout the site. Other notable productions: The two-head Eagle, from Jean Cocteau with Edwige Feuillère and Jean Marais, Les Juste, by Albert Camus, with Serge Reggiani, Green Queen, Maurice Béjart comédie with Maria Casarès and Jean Babilée, this strange animal, Gabriel Arout, according to Tchékhov, with Delphine Seyrig and Jean Rochefort.

After Jacques Hébertot's death in 1970, Jean-Claude Brialy was run in the theatre. In 2003, Danièle and Pierre Franck were at his head. At the end of 2013 Francis Lombrail became the new theatre director.

Among the pieces that have been seen in recent years, note: Less 2, of Samuel Benchetrit with Jean-Louis Trintignant, stage exit, of Nicolas Bedos, with Guy Bedos, The King is dying, of Eugène Ionesco…

Note that the room was renovated in 2010. The second room, the Petit Hébertot, is led by Xavier Jaillard.

It's a legendary venue where some of the greatest names in jazz have performed, starting with Art Blakey on the night it opened in 1981. Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, Dizzy Gillespie and many others followed. This is one of Paris's must-see venues for music lovers. The place has long been associated with jazz, and it's true that it plays a lot of it. But it's not the only one, as in recent years the venue has also offered blues, rock and quite a few young artists who we imagine to be very promising.

The two rooms in this archipelago located in the heart of the 10 th arrondissement have beautiful hours in front of them. Since 2001, the establishment has been offering programming very related to music, live shows and animation cinema. All the arts are represented. And say that in 1893, this place was called "The Concert of the Japanese City" and was a popular coffee-concert, where Maurice Chevalier or Maxime Lisbon took Place in their early stages. It was only in 1911 that the room turned into cinema. The "Paris-Cinéma" was born and kept this name until 2001… From silent to speaking, through today's shows: this is a territory not to be missed…

The Majestic Passy, which belongs to the network Les Screens du Cinéma, orne the heart of the 16 th arrondissement. It's the only cinema in the neighborhood. Opened in 1930, it was first called Royal Passy and then Broadway. The economic difficulties encountered led to the closure of the cinema in 1982, which was replaced by a fur store. He reintroduced in 1994 with three modern rooms, including the large room equipped with a panoramic screen of 13 meters. Popular and subtitled films are available every week. A bar is also available. Welcome to the temple of real art lovers, between cinema students and nostalgic for modern cinema. Former famous cabaret of the Latin Quarter who lives among others, it was in 1957 that this unique hall of 125 places became a cinema. First named Studio Cujas before being called Accattone, in reference to Pier Paolo Pasolini's first film, this film offers daily films of yesterday and today. On the spot also: a bookstore, a gallery and a bar to speak travelling and fondus. Be careful at the seats in the room: most of them have names of great personalities… In sum, a place that smells the Dolce Vita…

Les Variétés is the symbol of an old-fashioned cinema that, with its four screens, continues to stand up to the multiplexes of Gaumont Carré Sénart and Pathé de la Cartonnerie in Dammarie-les-Lys. The municipal cinema is classified as Art & Essai, and regularly offers films to be rediscovered with friends or family. The facilities also offer new ways of viewing, including digital technology and 3D viewing facilities. Prices are well maintained, so you can enjoy good quality cinema at reduced prices.
