Every Saturday morning, L'Isle-Jourdain closes its alleyways to traffic and transforms its town center into an open-air market. An ode to the land and countryside, visitors, Lislois and holidaymakers alike enjoy strolling through to meet the countless duck producers and market gardeners from the surrounding area, as well as numerous cheesemakers, patissiers and other 130 craftsmen and producers. Well-stocked, it's best to come early to this market to get the best of what's on offer.

In the main square of Ganges, as well as in the Halles, lively markets are held for several mornings, on Tuesdays and Fridays in particular. Every day, producers and merchants set up shop, bringing a little more life to the town. The biggest market takes place on Friday mornings, with some 250 stallholders. The stalls are brimming with local colors and scents, especially in summer with the multitude of fruits and vegetables available. You'll love strolling through the aisles to admire the treasures of the Cévennes and the whole department!

The Saint-Aubin market is the place to be on Sunday mornings in Toulouse to fill your basket. In a friendly and sometimes festive atmosphere, you can stroll along the stalls around the Saint-Aubin Church. Fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, French and international dishes... Organic and local producers come from all over the region to offer you the best culinary specialties of the area. You will also find creative craftsmen, book stands, jewelry, there is something for everyone!

To do your shopping at the open air markets of Gigean, you can meet on Tuesdays on the market place and on Saturdays on the public garden place. On the friendly and varied stalls, you will discover local products grown on the shores of the Thau archipelago. The merchants are local producers who come to sell their fresh vegetables and fruits as well as local specialties. Going to the market is always an opportunity to take part in the life of the village, to discover the local life, to stroll around, to discover new aromas and accents.

Tuesday: Big market.

It is a traditional market that livens up all year round in Marseillan-Ville and from mid-June to mid-September in Marseillan-Plage. The friendly and varied stals offer food with local producers who come to sell their vegetable and fruit products and local specialties, but there are also flowers from street vendors and all kinds of items to be hunted in the markets. It is also a great place to discover local life, stroll, discover flavors and new tastes.

Daily market.

This small market is a true treasure, you can find there all kinds of fresh products, a treat for lucky local residents and tourists. It is held throughout the year, under the covered markets of Marseillan-Ville, every Friday and Saturday morning. During the summer season, the market is held daily on Place du Marché of Marseillan-Plage.

Night markets.

In July and August, a craft market is held every Thursday from 7pm to midnight on the harbor of Marseillan-Ville. The traditional market is located on Place du Marché of Marseillan-Plage from 7pm to midnight.

On Thursday mornings, greengrocers, butchers, shellfish, olive and other succulent products are sold in the Cours Mirabeau. That same day the flower market is next door, quai Victor Hugo, with plants and cut flowers. Non-food products are sold on the Promenade des Barques and Cours Mirabeau on Thursday and Sunday mornings. On Tuesday mornings, the "fripe" and Saturday mornings the organic market offering meats, breads, poultry, honeys, cheeses, wines, fruits and vegetables are held Cours Mirabeau. A bit of a bohemian market? No doubt, but it's for a good cause: defending local producers of organic produce! The L'esparcette association founded this market thirty years ago, when it was the first organic market in France. The products on offer are inspected and certified, to guarantee you a healthy diet. Nearly thirty producers are represented: fruit, vegetables, cheese, bakery, meat and fish, honey, wine, lentils, flowers... Please note that during the Christmas festivities, the market will be moved a few meters to rue d'Alsace-Lorraine.

The Cahors market has been taking place at the foot of the sublime Saint-Etienne cathedral for 700 years and in all weathers! When you arrive, you will see the multicolored stalls filled with delicacies, from traditional merchants (butchers, pork butchers, greengrocers, fishmongers...) to local producers (Rocamadour cheese, duck producers and Cahors wines....). But above all, it is the atmosphere of the South that prevails: family, friendly and authentic, you will have the opportunity to exchange with the producers to learn more about their products!

In the heart of the Vallon, just 20 minutes from Rodez, a small village also organizes its night market of local producers! An event that has become very popular over the years, where locals and visitors come together for a convivial evening of local produce and festive music. Fill your baskets, but above all enjoy the local produce served directly to your plate by the producers on large tables.

Friday mornings are a hive of activity on Rue Nationale, the artery running through the town from one end to the other. Merchants take over the street, and you'll find everything from local produce and clothing to upholsterers, plants, carpets and mattresses... In summer, the market expands, joined by street hawkers to meet tourist demand. On Sunday mornings, local producers take over the cathedral square. These include the famous Lectoure melon. At the foot of the cathedral and around the "Halle aux Herbes", one of the most beautiful markets of the department gives you an appointment on Saturday morning. Producers from all over the region come to share the fruit of their labor and their know-how. Scents, colors and flavors never fail to seduce those who come to stroll there. On Thursday mornings, it is at the Halle Verdier and on the banks of the Gers that you should go. On Tuesday mornings, the small market of Garros animates the Place de la Fontaine with its organic producers, also present on Wednesday afternoon.

Every Monday morning, the central square of Mauvezin is transformed. Its large and superb 14th century market hall and the arcades welcome the merchants. This is an opportunity for the faithful regulars or passing shoppers to fill their baskets with good products. It is also the opportunity to discover the city in a lively and commercial atmosphere which makes it all the more warm. This brings us back to the time when supermarkets did not exist and when these open-air gatherings were an essential part of the social link.

There are two weekly markets in the shade of the large plane trees in the heart of Nogaro: the small food market on Wednesday mornings, where regular customers come to buy fruit, vegetables, cheese and meat, and the traditional Saturday market, where food products are joined by many other items: clothes, local specialities... In a beautiful atmosphere, you'll have the opportunity to stroll between the stalls to stock up or find a few souvenirs to take home.

At the Valence-sur-Baïse market, you can choose, negotiate and buy the best of Gers flavors in a friendly atmosphere. In addition to fresh fruit and vegetables, you'll find all kinds of quality local produce. Pastries, breads, preserves, wines and a wide range of cheeses are displayed on the colorful stalls of producers and merchants. From April to October, the market goes even longer, with 100% organic producers on hand from 5pm to 8pm.

The Arnaud-Bernard district is a working-class part of the city that has timidly begun its transformation towards diversity. Its main square is home to two open-air markets. One is held on Thursdays, exclusively for second-hand booksellers. The other takes place on Saturday mornings. You won't find any exotic products here: this is a market that relies exclusively on small-scale producers. It's an opportunity to quickly find local produce, some of it organic. It's an interesting complement to the Cristal market, which is just a few dozen meters away on the boulevards and features fruit and vegetables from the Grand Marché.

Isn't it nice to stroll between the stalls of fresh vegetables and fruits, the smells of spices, the tasting of cheeses and delicatessen proposed by the local producers and the products of art crafts? Market days in Port-la-Nouvelle liven up the city all year round, and even more so in summer! For lunch, you can take advantage of the market to find a capon or a poularde from the Lauraguais, a good cassoulet from Castelnaudary, beautiful oysters, fish and shellfish straight from the port, or sweet delicacies from the four corners of the Aude.

The market stalls of Montauban are overflowing with fresh products full of flavors and sunshine. You can come and enjoy them all year long, on Wednesdays at Place Lalaque on the left bank of the Tarn, and on Saturdays in the heart of Montauban. You will find between 160 and 190 exhibitors with a South-Western accent and a good mood: market gardeners, wine growers, cheese makers, fishmongers, pork butchers and other traders of food, bazaar and textile, lithotherapy, essential oils or second-hand goods... There is something for everyone!

Victimof its tourist, cultural and economic success, the town of Eauze has seen its traditional Thursday morning market grow so much in the summer that it has decided to set up an additional market. Every Sunday morning in July and August, Eauze welcomes local producers and artisans for a catch-up session. Close to the Saint-Luperc cathedral, a good twenty local producers gather on the beautiful Place d'Armagnac, with its medieval vaulted arcades and pleasant cafés sometimes enlivened by local bandas.

Open-air markets take place all year round in the communes of the Hérault, notably in Mireval. Twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, local producers and merchants from all walks of life come to present their goods. Food, flowers, textiles: the stalls are varied. It is a pleasure to browse among these passionate people, to learn about the typical varieties of the region, to ask for advice for a recipe or a seasoning.
