The MJC of Castanet-Tolosan is committed to the transmission of the heritage repertoire in all its diversity in a convivial and festive way by proposing traditional dance classes. In a collective practice, you can take part in dance classes of the Oc country and of the neighbors (Basque Country, Berry...) as well as of traditional dances of Europe (Balkans, Ireland, Catalan countries...) for all levels. The group also participates in several festive events during the year.

La Baraque is a contemporary dance company based in Toulouse. Founded in 1989, it seeks to break free from the academic canons of dance to create its own style in which all bodies can express themselves in complete freedom. Convinced that dance can be a vehicle for emancipation, the company emphasizes the generosity of the performers' gestures and the sensitivity of others. Since 2011, La Baraque has been based at La Vannerie - Friche Culturelle de St-Simon, where it organizes creative residencies for contemporary dance companies from the Occitanie region. The company combines creation with awareness-raising, enriching the work of professionals and amateurs, inspiring vocations and training new audiences. It also seeks to create synergies between different artistic practices and to broaden audiences.

Surfing the increasingly strong wave of tango passion - any generation confused - the lessons multiply. It's not easy to choose from all these experts. In the Plot Studio, with Michel Glaize, artistic director of the balls team, you are in good hands. In the good mood and the maintenance of the body, which does not exclude laughter and relaxation, the teacher shows you the first steps, how to move quickly towards elegance and improvisation. It's about learning technical bases and rhythmic games. In advanced courses, the avowed goal is to take pleasure in dancing well in balls. To evolve with more ease, listening carefully to music, deepening the basics, broadening the vocabulary of figures, all in perfect harmony with our partner. All an art!

Beginners or experienced dancers, it is the pleasure of dancing to discover and practice that brings together the members of the Club de danses d'Occitanie et d'ailleurs de Tournefeuille one Tuesday per month. The association proposes to learn the numerous dances that can be found in traditional balls all over France, but especially those more specific to the Occitanie region: rondeaux, bourrées, béarmais jumps... To practice, a ball open to all is organized once a quarter.

For more than forty years, the Occitan Center for Traditional Music and Dance has had as its goal the dissemination of traditional music and dance, the sensitization and transmission as well as the conservation and valorization of this vernacular heritage. It organizes concerts, offers courses as well as training courses of Occitan song, and also organizes workshops of initiation. To your instruments: accordion, oboe, Gascon bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy..

Ap Sara is a choreographic workshop where classical and contemporary dance classes are taught from the age of 4 and by age level up to seniors. The goal is to free the artistic potential of each person as well as their creativity. Knowing oneself also goes through body expression and Sarah will help you to assert yourself through dance. Sarah, a professional dancer, also teaches synchronized swimming at the Saint Cyprien Swimmers' Circle and her students, young and old, are fans of their teacher.

La Place de la Danse (or Centre de développement chorégraphique national) supports the creation and research of choreographic artists by hosting them in residence, producing or co-producing their works and presenting them during its season and its annual festival. The institute accompanies all audiences, trains dancers through the "Extensions" program and offers several events during the season: the Dance Day, the Ici & Là festival, Danse à la cinémathèque and the Bloom Festival.

Trans' en Danse is a dance school located in Montpellier. Founded in 2008 by Jessica Fernandez, a state-qualified teacher and the school's artistic and pedagogical manager, it offers a variety of dance classes including Modern'Jazz, Classical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Street Jazz, Pointes, Barre à terre, Salsa Fusion and Stretching. Classes are aimed at children aged 4 and over, teenagers and adults, from beginners to pre-professionals.
