Here nature invites itself to the table, soft music accompanies the gourmet breaks and the menu is delicate. It is a treat for the eyes and the taste buds. The Café de l'Orme is a very old café, run many years ago by a well-known family of the village, which only the oldest will be able to tell you about. Closed for decades, it was reopened a few years ago. Today, it is the only point of commerce in the village. There is bread, a very small grocery department (a convenience store for walkers on the Way of St. James) but it is above all a place to meet for a coffee. You will find it in front of the church, on a very small square.

Clever address for this super-nice bar in old Tarascon. Very easy to park. The place boasts a vast selection of local beers, and Floria, the hostess, will prepare delicious platters of charcuterie and/or cheeses, all from quality local producers. An excellent atmosphere in this old building, totally renovated with taste and eclecticism. The superb terrace overlooks the rooftops of the old town. l'Echoppe has come to an end, but a couple of enthusiasts have taken over and are offering a café brocante. You can buy anything, and that's no joke: you can take your own glass, chair and table if you like! In this cabinet of curiosities, you'll find everything, and Romane and Robin have some really crazy ideas. Drinking a coffee or enjoying an aperitif while browsing for bargains - that's the challenge these two young people set themselves, and the concept is a real success. The consumables are high quality and artisanal, and the wines and beers are local. A business to keep an eye on.

In the Saint-Etienne district, a fresh and colorful address, with wood here and there and industrial furniture. Ash is open for lunch and snacks. The menu is renewed daily. Desserts are a little less common than in other tea rooms. Revisited, often garnished with fantasy and very much influenced by the "Strawberry Shortcake" generation! In July 2023, Mehrez opened a café opposite the Courreau burnery. The location was perfect. Here you can enjoy the famous Italian "Pannuozzo" sandwiches: two crusty reheated loaves of bread from Naples, including pastrami, pickles, avocado, red cabbage, cheddar and pickled vinegar. Delicious and original. In summer, a no-sugar, no-ice milkshake with added fruit will be your favorite, unless you opt for a black swan, espresso, cinnamon, cream of milk and pepper. The special of the day is often falafel and, to accompany a gourmet coffee, pistachio or hazelnut, a love cake or homemade cookies.

It all starts with a love story, Charlotte, Loïc and beer! Our two lovebirds love travel, local produce and gastronomy. After a trip around the world and many discoveries, here they are in Ariège. Their concept is both ingenious and beneficial for the environment. The beers are brewed every week and sold on site. No bottles. You come and go with the growler, which is returned and provided by the house. Charlotte's cooking is healthy and based on organic or natural products. Lunch menu, tapas to taste in the evening.
