TIVOLI PARK
Read moreMore than a hundred, this public square of nearly 6,000 m ² at the foot of the Rebberg offers a break at the entrance to the city. Close to a legendary ginkgo and a playground for the toddlers, this is the famous «Schweissdissi» (the guy who won), monumental statue of a worker relying on his tool. In 1906 the sculpture was placed in the center of the Place of Réunion. Scandal! She showed her buttocks to all passers-by and disturbing public morals. It was therefore moved to the Tivoli Park where its modesty is respected since it turns to the groves that hide it half. Let's hope that the worker found a well deserved rest in this peaceful green!

THE REGIONAL NATURAL PARK OF LORRAINE
Read moreCreated in May 1974, Lorraine Regional Natural Park covers nearly 10% of the regional territory. It is divided into two separate spaces on a total surface area of about 210 000 hectares, natural and cultural heritage, rich and diverse. In its creation, several objectives were defined: to raise awareness of Lorraine by giving it the image of a green region, contributing to the preservation and protection of the environment, assisting the development of rural tourism, respecting traditional agricultural and forestry activities. The first part, the most important, is located west of the Moselle in the Hague plateau, the small Lorraine Switzerland, the Woëvre and the upper Meuse, covering just over 142 000 hectares. The other portion is more east and corresponds to part of the country of the ponds. It is in these areas of water that reside one of the main interests of the park. There are no fewer than two hundred ponds and a lake, a natural relay for migratory birds and thus magnificent observation grounds for specialist ornithologists such as grass. But these different water points also offer numerous activities on a wide range of leisure facilities. With over 1 500 km of trails, Lorraine Regional Natural Park is a place of discovery that is always renewed for hikers and walkers. In addition, many educational and educational panels invite to discover the fauna and flora of the park. Finally, the Houses and Museums of the park tell through various exhibitions the history, traditions and know-how of a region. There are so many discoveries that you can spend several days in the park, without going into the tour. So, a number of gîtes make it possible to discover all its riches at its own pace and with its own criteria. Please note the formula of the PANDA cottages, accommodation classified Gîtes de France, located in a regional or national natural park to which WWF (World Wildlife Fund) gives its label if they meet several conditions: offer the opportunity to observe nature through specific equipment and be managed by those responsible for preserving the environment.
