STOCK EXCHANGE SQUARE
The square is open to the general public under a 99-year lease, and regularly hosts artistic events.
During the heyday of the textile industry, industrialist Nicolas Koechlin invested heavily in creating a new district close to the city center. Three large buildings give a triangular shape to this central square. The shape refers to Nicolas Koechlin's membership of the Parfaite Harmonie Masonic Lodge. This triangular shape is unique in Europe. In 1925, this private garden was opened to the general public under a 99-year lease. Artistic events are held here regularly.
