While the absence of a grocery store was sorely felt in the small town of Longny-au-Perche, Barnabé's grocery store opened its doors in 2015, bringing a breath of new life to the village. This grocery store offers local and short circuit products, mostly and preferably organic: fruits and vegetables, dairy products, drinks, bread, bulk sales and hygiene products. Another grocery store was opened in 2021 in Tourouvre-au-Perche, a town that was also suffering from the absence of a food store.

Shopping is a pain! Online shopping is better, but you can go even further and opt for a zero waste service. Go to La Fourmilière, a drive where products are packaged in returnable, reusable or biodegradable containers! Do your shopping online (more than 1,400 products) and pick it up. The containers you bring back are washed and then put back into the circuit and credited to your account in the form of a credit note for the next order! Cécile, a great mum of 2, had this equally great idea: to open a grocery store on the outskirts of Caen. Sensitive to the heritage of Normandy and responsible consumption, she naturally decided to open a zero-waste store. Short distribution channels and reduced packaging: the DNA of Mes Bo'cal. Cécile even takes the concept a step further: here, products are presented in jars, not in bulk. Dry groceries (cereals, oilseeds, cookies, starches), drinks, fruit and vegetables, hygiene products. Dry groceries, liquids but also beauty and household products. To complete this idea of "consuming differently", the ladies favor organic products and short circuits (flour from Thibo and Caro in Maltot, beer from La Lie in Normandy Switzerland, Joya cosmetics from Douvres-la-Délivrande or sanitary napkins from the Caen brand Dans ma culotte). Come in, it's all green! Since the summer of 2020, Jérôme welcomes you in his grocery store #bulk and #zero waste. A great initiative, a nice place to support, where you will find fruits and vegetables, all organic and local, food products, spices, coffee, everyday accessories and even cosmetics to consume more sustainably. Among the local producers in the spotlight are Cocotte&Co's organic eggs, Lou Kombu Cha's natural soda, rich in micro-organisms, and the bread (to be reserved) from Ferme de la Moissonnière.
