TOUROUVRE MUSEUMS
Read moreThe Tourouvre Museums are several museums: that of the French Emigration to Canada and that of Trades and Brands. The first one perpetuates the memory of this founding epic that 325 Percherons lived through. As pioneers, they faced the ocean and a difficult winter before building the first houses on the shores of the St. Lawrence in New France. The second museum is devoted to the small shops, stalls and advertisements of yesteryear that are still remembered. The Cano House, finally, deals with the issues of contemporary emigration to Canada.

MUSÉE DE VIRE NORMANDIE
Read moreClassified as a historic monument, set up, since 1972, within a hotel-Dieu of the eighteenth century and in the heart of the park bordering La Vire, the Municipal Museum, dedicated to fine arts (Charles Léandre's workshop background), the decorative arts (Paul Huet's romantic Normandy) and the popular traditions of the Viennese Bocage virois subject to a few standards and accessibility. Especially with the installation of a lift and the renovation of the permanent path. The collections themselves, rich in costumes, furniture and a set of hedges, from Romulus to Guy Degrenne, will be valued in their presentation and by the scenography. The Chapel space will be devoted to Reconstruction. So patience: you who pass through Vire, there are, in the meantime, many other things to see, to live, to discover and… to taste! Better: The gardens, from where you can admire the facades of the Hotel-Dieu remain accessible during the work. Fans will follow their evolution on the museum blog.
