Putting a café in a laundromat, that's what we call combining business with pleasure! One of the few laundromats in the neighborhood, and not just any laundromat. While your laundry is spinning in one of the self-service machines, you can enjoy a delicious coffee with a carefully selected blend or a dish made by the Italian chef. Every day, the room is scented with fresh market produce, so it doesn't smell so much like a laundry room. The big plus: the garden in summer, and you don't need to have laundry to come!

This friendly café offers a wide range of coffees, to be enjoyed in the dining room or on the terrace, or to take away. The place is warm and inviting, with a number of different objects and artifacts as decoration. At the start of the day, opt for the Brise du Matin (breakfast), served daily until 11am. Then it's on to the à la carte menu, featuring salads, gourmet sandwiches, pizzas on naan bread, mac & cheese and other delicacies. To be accompanied by a Gaspesian beer, of course!

The team behind this micro-torreactor strives to source its supplies from the source by visiting one of its producers every year. It also carries out private imports and collaborates with cooperatives in different coffee-growing regions of the world. The criteria are simple: no pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and a fair wage for the producers. The nectars can be discovered in one of the Saint-Henri cafés, via the online shop or in one of the many points of sale. Courses are also offered to the general public.

Born as a street truck, this popular micro-torreactor now has three branches. The emphasis is definitely on coffee and everything related to it in this uncluttered premises. Here, everything from the bean to your cup is done responsibly and fairly, and the team is happy to discuss and even demonstrate. Bags of coffee beans or ground coffee are also available for home use. The place also serves all sorts of goodies to get you in the mood.

The café, opened in 2022, has already undoubtedly its place in the neighborhood. The retro decoration is composed with second hand furniture. The atmosphere is soft and warm. The menu presents many creations to drink as varied as original such as the coconut coffee or even the mango coffee. The sweet snacks are unfortunately not made on the spot but they come from Montreal pastry shops and bakeries. You can spend a pleasant moment in one of the sofas, surrounded by plants and antiques.

Housed in a beautiful ancestral home, Bonté Divine is the best place in town to enjoy a coffee prepared according to the rules of the art. In addition to a full range of specialty coffees, teas, herbal teas, hot chocolates and a variety of iced drinks are also on the menu, not to mention snacks such as viennoiseries, bagels with cream cheese and croque-monsieur. Coffee accessories are also available. Bonus: Bonté Divine has three other branches, in Lévis, Montmagny and La Pocatière.

To start the day on the right foot in Percé, a break at Tempête Café is a must. And the staff here REALLY know their stuff when it comes to specialty coffees. Roasters such as Tambour Café, Brûlerie du Quai, Monark Micro-torréfacteur and Fantôme Café are proudly represented here, to drink on site or take away. Bonus: viennoiseries to accompany everything and a terrace area to enjoy the view of the sea and Bonaventure Island. Next door, in the same building, you'll find Côté Mer Espace Boutique, a charming home decor boutique.

Housed in the former convent of the Petites Franciscaines de Marie, and next door to the Auberge des Balcons, this coffee shop is our best bet for a good start to the day. In addition to divine caffeinated nectars, the solidarity cooperative also offers a wide range of delicacies, including delicious grilled cheeses made from local produce. The café also serves as a boutique, with countless board games and various items for young and old (over 150 self-service games available for a small fee).

Nice and bright neighbourhood café with a family and artistic atmosphere, close to the Saint-Jacques market. It was named in honor of the famous Lebanese vegan cake made of wheat semolina, scented with turmeric and decorated with pine nuts. This speciality goes wonderfully well with hot drinks, always served with good humour. The slate also displays simple and tasty dishes: sweet or savoury toasts, soups and salads, and all kinds of sweets. On weekends, the Lebanese brunch plate is succulent.

Clearly a café that stands out from the others with its fairground themed concept that can be felt in all four corners of the place: an old roller coaster car at the entrance, small cabins for young and old, video games in a small lounge, colors everywhere and even a haunted house in the toilets. Food on the go, sandwiches, wraps, paninis and grilled cheese, chili, soups and a few sweets on the menu, including the vegan brownie, not to mention the range of hot and cold drinks, with or without alcohol. Managed by a workers' cooperative, this little place specializes in roasting coffee that you can also buy to take away. It serves a varied menu at reasonable prices, concocted from organic and local products (breakfasts, soups, salads, sandwiches, savory snacks, sweet bites, etc.). You'll come here for the atmosphere and the conviviality of the place, but also for its beautiful visual art exhibitions featuring local artists. A perfect address for a coffee break!

If you feel like indulging in the famous afternoon tea ritual, this is the place to go! The Place Dufferin restaurant, located on the terrace of the same name, offers this fine gourmet experience in the best possible way. When you arrive, you'll be served a temptation of flavoured fruit. Then comes the ritual: Creamy Earl Grey, Golden Dragon Jasmine, Organic Oolong Goddess and several other delicious LOT 35 teas from Metropolitan Tea, accompanied by scones, traditional sandwiches, bites, pastries and mignardises. A must!

It all starts at a bicycle cafe that roams the streets of the city... Then, in 2016, Maxime and his two associates open their first café in the Petite-Patrie. In addition to a range of caffeinated drinks made from home-roasted beans, they serve excellent pastries and baked goods and simple, healthy snacks (sandwiches and bowls). This small neighbourhood address is so successful that another space will be opened downtown (café during the day, private room in the evening) in 2019, followed by a new roasting workshop on Masson Drive in 2020.

Located in the heart of Place Royale, the first branch of this renowned coffee roaster invites you to take a well-deserved break, whether you're in the mood for a good espresso, an iced caramel fleur de sel latte or a homemade lemonade. You can also eat there, as the menu offers snacks, pastries, salads, sandwiches and delicious pastries for sweet teeth. There are several other locations in Quebec City, including the one on Rue des Jardins with its pretty interior courtyard, as well as one on Île d'Orléans.

Located in the heart of Tadoussac village, this coffee-shop has been serving locals and tourists alike since 2021. Hot or iced, all beverages are prepared here with care and love (especially the smoothies made with Nordic berries such as camerise and sea buckthorn). For a snack, pastries, salads, sandwiches, lunch bowls and other on-the-go delights are on offer, with options for vegetarians, vegans and gluten intolerants. Bonus: a small boutique corner with coffee-shop branded items.

If Montrealers are familiar with Paquebot Café, the^4th branch has chosen to set up shop by the sea. Isabelle Huard and Samuel Perreault, already well involved in the company (Samuel opened the first café in Montreal), are at the helm of this ultra-friendly place that is a café by day and a bar by night. Founded in 2009, Nektar aims to educate coffee consumers while supporting the sustainable development of producers. You can discover the coffees of this roaster by the cup on the spot, which you will accompany with one of the tasty pastries, or fill up with coffee beans or ground for the house. Accessories and maintenance products for your machine are also on display. Also, preparation guides are available online to make you the best barista in your household.

It's in the former premises of the historic Dominion Textile building that this nice "third wave" café has set up shop. We come here for a good dose of caffeine (try the iced coffee in summer), but also for its succulent grilled cheese like The Cowboy with marinated beef, bacon, sautéed onions and mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and BBQ sauce. The Shop also offers breakfasts and salads, not to mention alcoholic cocktails, craft beers and house-made lemonades. Bonus: visual art exhibits as a guide to decorating.
