You can discover the coffees of this roaster by the cup on the spot, which you will accompany with one of the tasty pastries, or fill up with coffee beans or ground for the house. Located in the Little Burgundy district in the south of downtown, the Burgundy Lion is not a traditional pub. The owners focus on a superior product, from food and drink to service and atmosphere. The whisky and beer list is sure to please, not to mention the fine wine and cocktail list. This is a real gastro-pub, with special mention for the Welshman's Bride (braised lamb shank) and aufish& chips. In short, an upscale address that doesn't skimp on quality and diversity!

A well-known Mile End address, halfway between neighborhood bar and trendy club. The Waverly got a makeover in 2023 with a brand-new look. Original cocktails are the house specialty. The gourmet menu will satisfy both small and large appetites, and is an excellent choice for a comforting poutine-beer combo. A café-bar with a strong presence on the local tourist and cultural scene, its calendar of events includes visual art exhibitions, themed evenings and, during the summer months, movie nights and concerts on the lovely terrace. To quench the thirst of visitors, a menu of local and imported beers will please everyone (happy hour from 4 to 9 pm), not to mention cocktails and spirits. If you are feeling peckish, you can order a good pizza from the Pi'za-za restaurant located a few steps away and enjoy it on the terrace.

Chez Renard is a café, restaurant and refreshment bar in one. Ève Beaudoin Galaise and Philippe Raymond, the two founders of this gourmet address, offer an ever-changing menu featuring products from the Magdalen Islands and the rest of the province. While morning coffee is served with a homemade bagel spread with Pied-de-vent cream cheese, evenings are devoted to sharing dishes, fine wines and cocktails.

It is in the beautiful area of L'Anse-aux-Baleiniers that a small group of young entrepreneurs decided to open a surf bar where the Islands' riding community and the curious gather. The place offers all kinds of good cocktails (try them in pitcher version!), but also beers and wines from Quebec, coffee prepared by a local burner and other tasty elixirs. Bonus: a program of musical shows and DJ nights, art shows, creative workshops, etc. A festive spot to discover!

It's in the former premises of the historic Dominion Textile building that this nice "third wave" café has set up shop. We come here for a good dose of caffeine (try the iced coffee in summer), but also for its succulent grilled cheese like The Cowboy with marinated beef, bacon, sautéed onions and mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and BBQ sauce. The Shop also offers breakfasts and salads, not to mention alcoholic cocktails, craft beers and house-made lemonades. Bonus: visual art exhibits as a guide to decorating.

This is it! Since 2021, the James Bay Eeyou Istchee region finally has its very first microbrewery. The four people behind the project focus on local products, whether it's the furniture built by Chantiers Chibougamau, the works of a local artist that adorn the walls or the ingredients that make up the beers, which are harvested by FaunENord. In addition to the house beers, the place has a superb cellar of privately imported wines, not to mention the Quebec spirits and the gourmet menu that will please every palate.

Located a little east of the Olympic Park and the Espace pour la vie institutions, this microbrewery is the perfect place to take a break. We have to admit that we're quite fond of this place. Is it the beautiful design of the place? The wonderful selection of house beers that makes us want to try everything? The gourmet menu with, among other things, its incredible pizzas baked in a wood oven? Most likely a little bit of all of the above! And since you'll fall in love with the house beers, there's a shop area where you can stock up.

In 1985, Lamine Touré had the bright idea of conquering a small part of La Main with tropical rhythms. Club Balattou was thus the very first tropical discotheque in the country, and soon became a pioneer of world music, as well as being at the origin of the Nuits d'Afrique festival. Today, it's safe to say it's a Montreal cult venue, and has been for almost 40 years. Balattou is all about cultural diversity through music, the enchantment of discoveries and the abolition of borders. in short, "Around the world in one evening".

A veritable musical creation complex and nerve center for Quebec City's creative renaissance, Le Pantoum is at once a concert venue, a creation, rehearsal and recording studio, a record label (Les disques Dure Vie) and an event manager. While its programming showcases local talent, artists from elsewhere also take to the stage. This non-profit organization is self-managed by its artists and cultural workers. A must-see!

Charming neighborhood refreshment bar, one comes to savor one or more wines from a list composed mostly of Canadian and Quebec biodynamic or natural wines. The menu doesn't stop there, also offering craft beers, ciders and spirits (especially gin) from here and elsewhere. Don't miss the small gourmet dishes that vary according to the season and inspiration. The aperitif tower is a good idea for a group.

Nestled in its green setting, the Pardue Barn is a brewery farm that promotes, among other things, the circular economy and sustainable development. The first of its kind in the Centre-du-Québec region, it offers the experience "from the earth to the glass". The tasting room allows you to savor the house nectars and to break the crust with a slate of small dishes incorporating regional products. Upon reservation, it is possible to have a guided tour of the fields and the brewing room, without forgetting the animated tasting workshops.

Open since 2018 in the liveliest part of town, this vegetarian bistro-bar relies on local sourcing for its good food but also on its bar side. Fans of Quebec craft beers, you will be served here! Mention should also be made of the other alcoholic beverages (notably the Quebec gins and the privately imported natural wines), the incredible design of the place signed by Atelier Filz and, above all, its large terrace with bar which is taken by storm on sunny days. HopEra combines a friendly neighborhood bar with a gourmet bistro. Its specialties include craft beers inspired by both European tradition and North American modernity, and fine pizzas baked in a Panyol wood-fired oven. The house also offers snacks, salads, poutine, burgers and mac & cheese, not to mention dishes from the current slate that are well worth the detour. For entertainment and socializing, HopEra offers a program that includes, among other things, live shows. We recommend it!

Le Zénob is an emblematic place in the literary and cultural scene of Trois-Rivières. Well established on the ground floor of an ancestral house in the heart of the old quarter, Zénob has always welcomed artists, writers and thinkers from Quebec and abroad. In addition to being one of the headquarters of the International Poetry Festival (early October), the venues host year-round musical performances, theatre, poetry readings, exhibitions of works by local artists, etc. An essential address for lovers of style!

This concert hall is a fixture on the Islands' musical and cultural scene. All the big-name artists make a stop here on their tour of the eastern part of the province. Émile Bilodeau, Alaclair Ensemble, Clay and Friends, Louis-Jean Cormier, FouKi, Steve Hill and Geoffroy, to name but a few, took to the stage at Pas Perdus in 2023. In addition to musical performances, the program also includes popular music jams on Mondays. The place to be on the Islands!

Established nearly a decade ago in the Saint-Sauveur district, this microbrewery is one of Quebec's capital nuggets. You can enjoy its house nectars, as well as those from other Quebec microbreweries, all enhanced by a gourmet menu featuring nothing but mouth-watering delights. In spring 2024, the microbrewery will move into its new premises in the Montcalm district (with an incredible terrace to boot), as well as setting up production in Saint-Jacques-de-Leeds in the Chaudière-Appalaches region (tasting room on site).

There's no better place in Stoneham to drink a house beer and enjoy gourmet cuisine during your outdoor outings or for après-ski (the resort is just a stone's throw away). In a mountain chalet atmosphere, don't be shy about ordering a good pint or a tasting palette, all accompanied by a dish with local flavours, especially the poutines offered in several variations. If you want to take home a little souvenir, drop by the shop. Another branch in the Limoilou district of Quebec City.

Old Saint-Eustache is already cute, and the microbrewery has clearly chosen one of the most beautiful historic houses to set up shop. While the main reason for coming here is to enjoy one of its many in-house nectars, don't overlook the menu, which often incorporates its beers with its gourmet creations. Poutine fans, you're in for a treat! Add to this the fact that the place boasts one of the nicest terraces in the province, and you'll understand our enthusiasm.

Located in front of the sea, this microbrewery is a friendly place to meet and gather, to share and to discover culture. Its house beers, also distributed in many sales outlets in the province, are to be discovered: L'Avalanche, a hoppy Session, La Tripeuse des Bois, a Belgian blonde with honey and thyme, Flibuste, an oatmeal Stout, or La Gueule de Requin, an Eisbock brewed once a year. The on-site boutique allows you to stock up on your favorite nectars and items bearing the effigy of the microbrewery.

Since its opening in 2021, this microbrewery has never been empty. Both inside and out, you can enjoy one of the beers brewed on site at communal tables, in a convivial atmosphere. Pizza Toni's pizzas are also available, as well as a few snacks for the aperitif. Mellön is a reference to The Lord of the Rings, a shared cinematic passion of the two childhood friends who founded the place. In fact, there's a ring hidden in the bar, and those who find it could be rewarded...

The charming bar in the basement of La Maison Price has become a cultural and musical mecca since its opening. It's got a great line-up of shows (some of which are held outdoors), cool events (bourbon blues, improvisation evenings, film screenings, jam sessions, etc.), a fine selection of local beers and scotches to make fans dream, and more. In short, a must for Chicoutimi outings!

A counter of curiosity where all the elements that constitute the decoration, as original and strange as they are, can be bought. Created in the middle of a pandemic, the address is now very much alive, with one event following another: comedy shows, jazz, musical quizzes... The dance floor is always ready to welcome the most daring of the crowd. For those who are a little peckish, the menu includes a choice of sandwiches and boards made from preserves, cold cuts and artisanal cheeses. It's a friendly neighborhood bar that exudes good humor.

Under the slogan "Bière rusée gaspésienne", this microbrewery promises fine brewing discoveries inspired by Belgian, English and world traditions, such as L'Amiral, a NEIPA with fruity, well-hopped flavours, or the Tripel forestière with Labrador tea, chaga mushrooms and dune pepper. There's also a small gourmet menu with a Gaspesian flavour and a boutique corner (beers, microbrewery merchandise, etc.), not to mention live entertainment to liven up your evenings.

Steel furniture, green plants and a skylight let in a peaceful atmosphere. Café OSMO is home to Japanese restaurant Marusan, formerly based in Old Montreal. The sando sandwiches in particular are really good, but the curries and ramen are just as mouth-watering. From time to time, the turntables at the back of the room are occupied by a DJ who comes to mix for a few hours. The courtyard is great in summer, even better with a jasmine iced tea.
