MONTRÉAL PLAZA
Read moreCharles-Antoine Crête, who officiated for over 15 years as chef de cuisine at Toqué! alongside his friend and mentor Normand Laprise, opened Montréal Plaza in 2015 with two long-time acolytes. The place is superb: the design is by Zébulon Perron, with objects from Charles-Antoine's childhood taking pride of place here and there in the restaurant. On the menu, you can feel the neo-brasserie touch - enhanced by Quebec products - with dishes such as foie gras and eel terrine, mackerel a la plancha and poultry with sherry wine.
L'ÉTABLI BRASSERIE URBAINE
Read moreThis is without a doubt one of Drummondville's "in" addresses! It's all about conviviality, good food and cocktails, all in a decor that mixes rustic and industrial. The menu includes a few raw dishes (beef, salmon, tuna), burgers and gourmet sandwiches, various poutines, grilled meats and other delicious small dishes. All of this is accompanied by a microbrewery beer, a sangria or a refreshing cocktail.
TAVERNE 1855
Read moreÉric Garand, creative chef, and Jinny Dufour, sommelier, are not at their trial run. This gourmet project has been attracting crowds to the heart of Magog since it opened in 2017. And they insist: everything here is cooked homemade with local and seasonal products. Smoked pork from Ferme Lennon de Compton, cheeses from Coaticook, organic vegetables from Ferme Les Vallons Maraîchers de Compton, 1855 beer dishes - the official beer of the restaurant brewed by Boréale - are just a few examples of the products used in cooking. It's fresh, it's generous and it's local!
