ARBORETUM DE PÉZANIN
Read moreIt would be a pity if you did not take advantage of this magnificent herbal landscape, several of which will allow you to discover the clearing clearing trail and its totem trail, a picnic area with tables and barbecue and a fishing course. But you also porrez, on 26 hectares of which 5 ha of pond, the arboretum of Pézanin, one of the richest in France, admires nearly 400 species of trees and rare essences in a remarkable setting. Created in 1903 by the family of Vilmorin, which became the property of the state in 1935, managed by the O.N.F. (National Forestry Office) since 1969, the arboretum proposes three marked circuits and a plant label facilitating a didactic visit. In particular, a hétérophile oak (which has two kinds of leaves), a collection of 37 varieties of maple from Japan, China and North America, bald cypresses and their pneumatophores roots, which allow them not to suffocate in marsh areas. Despite the storms of 1982,1983 and 1999, all these rare specimens resisted. Good ideas for a pleasant day.

CAVES BAILLY-LAPIERRE
Read moreLet us tell you: passing very close to Les Caves Bailly cellars without going to discover them would be a great mistake! For these underground 4-hectare cellars, located in quarries exploited since the 12th century, will leave you with memories for a long time to come. These rooms, dug in the heart of a gigantic limestone deposit some 170 million years old, will allow you to understand the vinification of the Crémant de Bourgogne of which the Bailly-Lapierre cellars are the cradle. And for a good reason: they were fitted out in 1972 to allow the first cuvée of this appellation to be born three years later! Before your guided tour, you can go for a walk in the vineyards (in the morning at 10 am). And after the visit, a tasting of two glasses of Crémant will be offered to you to put into practice what you have just learned (with a souvenir flute offered).
One of the highlights of these very beautiful cellars is that the staff is sensitized to welcoming visitors with disabilities. For the little ones, a children's game book and a glass of grape juice will be offered to them.
