The most beautiful natural sites to discover South India

Once known as Elk Falls, remarkable falls where you can swim, located 6 km north of the city.

These spectacular waterfalls are 8 km away. A permit is required to access the road that leads to it, it must be requested from the District Forest Office. You can also enjoy a sumptuous view of the falls from Dolphin's Nose.

A botanical garden on the heights of Coonoor, which houses more than 1 000 species of plants, including magnolias, camellias and pine trees. The main attraction is the fruit and vegetable show which takes place every year in May.

A pretty lake with a wide variety of fish and affected. The natural reserve is filled with tigers, hyenas, black gazelles and many bird species.

This is where the Thejaswini River flows into the Arabian Sea. A long white sandy beach still little exploited by tourism, there is a calm atmosphere conducive to solitude.

If the beach is Itchy, Corbyn's Beach is the closest to Port Blair. This small grazed cove of coconut and tropical trees does not affect the long beaches of Havelock's turquoise waters. These falls, which are more like rapids, are worth a look, but they are much less impressive than those of Athirapally. We therefore advise you to start the visit with these.
