This station is more central than the others and serves western Jordan, including Suweimah (Dead Sea). To get there, it will cost you 1 DJ by taxi or 15 minutes on foot from the lower city. But beware, in Suweimah the tourist sites are not served by public transport. Either you hitchhike from Suweimah to the public beach or you take one of the few taxis that will be available when you get off the bus (10 DJ).

JETT serves Jordan's major tourist destinations: Petra, Aqaba, the Dead Sea... Fares are higher than with a minibus or shared cab, but comfort is far superior and schedules are generally respected. So you avoid unpleasant surprises and potential hours of waiting for a minibus to fill up. From Amman, buses leave from Abdali, 7th Circle, Wahadat or Tabarbour, depending on the destination. You can book your ticket directly on the website, but only from Jordan.

The Raghadan bus station is the closest to the lower city. It is located on Hashemi Street a little over 2 kilometers past the Roman Theatre. There is transport to the suburbs of Amman or the railway station, as well as other local buses. There are also minibuses to the cities of Madaba and Salt. The railway station is not formally marked. Shared buses and taxis park in front of the shops in the Army Street alleyway.

This station is located 5 km south of the city and, logically, serves the southern cities of the country: Madaba, Kerak, Ma'in, Ma'an, Talifa, Dana, Petra, Aqaba... For Madaba, you can also take a minibus to Raghadan, but we advise you to go directly to Wahadat as it is on the road. There are shuttle buses to Wahadat from the lower town (near the fruit and vegetable market) or Abdali. By taxi, count 3 DJ from the center.

The Jordanian airline operates direct flights between Amman and Paris 6 times a week. There is no flight on Tuesday. All other days, the flight departs from Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle at 3:35 pm and arrives in Amman at 10:10 pm. Return flights depart from Amman at 10:55am and arrive at Roissy at 2:10pm. Fares vary greatly depending on whether you book well in advance or at the last minute, or during school holidays or not. On-board service is provided with a light meal, but the possibility to watch movies depends on the aircraft.

Middle East Airlines, more commonly known by its initials MEA, is the most convenient airline for a stopover flight to Amman. The Lebanese airline operates a daily service between Paris CDG and Amman, via Beirut. The leg between Paris and Beirut is operated by Air France (departure from CDG Terminal 2E) in the early morning. The one-hour flight between Beirut and Amman is on MEA. Your ticket price includes a meal on board.

Avis has an established reputation. It is also the most present car rental company in the country, which is a definite advantage if you encounter a problem. The company has branches at Amman airport, King Abdullah Garden and the Intercontinental and Le Royal hotels. The fleet of recent vehicles includes the small city car at low cost, the family car in hybrid version, the compact or XXL SUV, the van to transport small groups and luxury cars. The Jordan Pass is the absolute best deal designed by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. With this pass, you get access to 40 tourist sites in Jordan as well as a tourist visa. Only the private tourist sites are not included in the pass (Map of Palestine at St. George's Church in Madaba or the entrance to Mount Nebo for example) as well as the entrance fees to the nature reserves, managed by an organization that does not depend on the ministry.
