ZARA SPA

Hammam
5/5
1 review

This Spa is the largest and most famous in the country for its luxury and the multitude of pools it offers, both indoor and outdoor. The entrance is consequently very expensive. It gives access to the hydropool, to the Dead Sea water pools, to the hammam and its baths with different temperatures, to the floating pools, to the tropical shower, to the overflowing pool... You can also enjoy one of the many treatments with products made from Dead Sea mud and clay or succumb to the gentle pleasure of a massage.

BAB AL-HARA TURKISH HAMMAM

Relaxation and fitness

The Turkish bath of Bab Al'Hara is a little marvel reserved exclusively for women. A changing room allows you to put your things away and put on your flip-flops and shorts, provided by the house, to then attack the big tour of the room lit by a subdued red light: sauna, hammam, energetic scrub, massage, then relaxation in the Turkish bath located in the center of the room, before being offered a mint tea. It's enough to say that you'll come out feeling like new!

SPA INTERCONTINENTAL

Relaxation and fitness
4/5
1 review

The Intercontinental opens the doors of its public beach, Spa and pools to non-residents. The price is a little high, but you spend half that on food and drink. The whirlpool in the Spa is huge. Hammam, sauna, multiple pools with sun loungers under palm trees, outdoor hot tub, squash court, ping-pong tables and beach bar. As this hotel is the furthest away, the beach is quieter, although sometimes noisy due to the beach glassboats that come around the front.

DEAD SEA SPA HOLIDAY INN

Relaxation and fitness
4/5
1 review

The Holiday Inn's infrastructures are exceptional, the Spa renovated in 2009 offers new facilities: Beautiful waterfalls, idyllic surroundings, Dead sea swimming pool, special care, jacuzzi bath, steam bath, sauna… all at a lower price than among the neighbours. The beach is beautiful, the sun loungers are directly on the sand, a Bedouin tea lounge awaits you above the water, the atmosphere is very relaxing and the place is not crowded. Good value for money.

ABDUL SAMAD AL QURASHI

Perfumery

This luxury perfumery has existed in Jordan since 1852 and creates fragrances for the Hashemite royal family. You will quickly be enchanted by the powerful musky, vanilla or floral notes of these elixirs. If you are a lover of original perfumes, you are sure to find a bottle that will set your senses on fire. The perfumery also specializes in oudh, those heady oils produced from the resin of agarwood, which only flows when the tree is attacked by a particular rot. This explains the very high prices.

AL YAKHOR TURKISH BATH

Relaxation and fitness

From the uninviting exterior of this Turkish bath, it's hard to believe that behind it are vaulted cellars housing a hammam with separate rooms for men and women. The price is rather high for the services offered, but there's nothing like a good sweat and a massage after a day of dusting in the ancient Nabatean capital. There are no baths, but showers that you can set to the heat you want. Women will require a massage by a person of the same sex.

VITALIA SPA

Relaxation and fitness

The only affordable resort for an out-of-town visitor, if you want to enjoy the beach and pools, its sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi or Dead Sea pool. This spa is the one of the Dead Sea Spa hotel, one of the pioneers of its kind in Sweimah. The treatments are more of a medical thalasso, as the hotel has its own medical centre. The wraps with highly mineralized Dead Sea mud are ideal for rheumatic problems. And they leave the skin incredibly soft.

RIVA SPA

Beauty salon

The Riva spa is located on the second floor of the Abdali shopping mall. Its reception area is reminiscent of a luxury hotel lobby, with its very contemporary lines, well-arranged screens and sophisticated lighting. An herbal tea bar and a lounge area provide a place to wait while the cabin is being prepared or, on the contrary, to prolong the moment of relaxation. Riva has awarded itself 7 stars for the quality of its particularly comforting treatments. The Moroccan hammam with steam bath, Dead Sea salt scrub and massage is unanimously praised.

SULTAN AHMAD TURKISH HAMMAM

Hammam

The Sultan Ahmad Turkish Hammam is very out of the way, on the western edge of the city. Nevertheless, it's worth the trip, as the mosaic-lined halls and rest rooms worthy of a pasha's salon will make you feel like a prince or princess from a tale of the Arabian Nights. In addition to a steam bath and an invigorating massage, you can opt for a fish pedicure, a hot stone massage or a Dead Sea mud wrap.
