The three glass and steel structures are connected by hanging gardens and dizzyingly high terraces. The whole complex is surrounded by a chic and expensive restaurant: Prince Olav, a more modest one: Restaurant Bakkus, two bars: Olav and Galleriet and all the services that such a high standard can provide.

Olavskvartalet is practically an entire district under glass, with a shopping mall of some 20 shops and, above all, the large Olavshallen concert hall. In this bubble, the hotel takes its place, with its restaurants, bars and cafés. In the basement there are more brasseries and a discotheque for the night owls. The rooms are large and bright in beige colours. Note that the rates are advantageous out of season but also by booking online, directly on the hotel's website.

Havila Hotel Geiranger is located close to the chocolate factory, the Olé café and many other small shops in the city centre. A very decent hotel that offers different types of rooms, some with a great view of the fjord. The beds are comfortable, there is a desk, coffee machine and even a sofa. The option to dine in is not bad as it is quite convenient but it doesn't break the bank either. The plus of the evening: a game of billiards at disposal! A good hotel in general.

Located at the beginning of the descent, next to the Flydalsjuvet precipice, the old Utsikten Bellevue Hotel was, not so long ago, run by religious people. Today, the hotel has been taken over by the Classic Norway Hotel chain, which has given it a touch of class and modern comfort. The view of the fjord from some rooms is magnificent. The hotel has 29 rooms, some with a view of the fjord. Free internet connection in all rooms. Restaurant with local products. Extensive breakfast buffet.

The Thon Hotel Astoria is ideally located, just a few minutes walk from the central station and in a street perpendicular to Karl Johans gate. Located next to the tourist office, facing the port, this very large concrete building painted white houses 174 rooms and a bar-restaurant. If the charm is not really there and the decoration is not so modern, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the welcome is excellent. The staff is smiling, friendly and always there to inform you. The hotel is centrally located, close to shops, bars and restaurants, just a few steps away.

Comfortable and inexpensive hotel located 400 m from the centre of Tromsø. The common areas of the hotel and the rooms are very nice, the decoration is simple in a Scandinavian style, modern and warm. The rooms are fully equipped with standard amenities. The guesthouse has 20 small rooms. From the common lounge you can see the cathedral across the bridge. A central and very convenient accommodation option. It is possible to reserve a parking space if you arrive by car. Breakfast is included, as is wifi.

This hostel with 260 beds is located on the road up to Ulriken, 4 km from the centre. The road to the hostel is a bit tricky, but the view of the city of Bergen below is very nice. Located near the airport, this brand-new hotel from the Moxy chain (Marriott Hotels) combines design inspired by the surrounding nature with comfort at reasonable prices. Opening in June 2023, its 208 rooms are all equipped with walk-in showers and flat-screen TVs, but it's the large picture windows overlooking the fjord that make this establishment truly unique. In the Sky Bar Moxy on the ^11th floor, games and table soccer are available. And on the roof terrace, you can watch the northern lights through the telescope...

F2 offers different types of accommodation, from rooms to apartments, only in the centre of Harstad. Of course the decoration is not very original, but the rooms are fully equipped, and the comfort is there for a very good price! You also have access to a common room with TV on the first floor. No receptionist, you will do a very simple self-check in before you can settle in. Close to all shops and activities, F2 is a good compromise between comfort and low prices.

Like most Lapland towns, Alta is surrounded by beautiful nature. Its location makes it an almost obligatory stopover, so it's ideal to stay as close to nature and the river as possible. Just outside the town in the direction of Kautokeino, this campsite rents small chalets and double, triple and quadruple rooms, basic but functional! Reception open 24 hours a day in the small grocery store which also sells fishing permits for the secondary rivers of the Alta. A nice stopover in perspective.

Since 1992, a small tourist office operates in this hostel of 55 rooms spread in several houses. The main building, with peat roof, is decorated with a Twin Peaks style shooter of Hitchcock's "Psychosis". By entering the restaurant, we're staring at the nose with an impressive number of stuffed animals, including a lynx, an elk to the mighty horns, an Arctic hare, a snow partridge and a wolverine— a great predator. In the living room in the large fireplace, two wooden poles are carved with the sami characters, in the way of a totem. On the side of the terrace, there is a breathtaking view of the fjord at the bottom of the mountain.

By continuing on the E 6, the views are superb on the fjord and the Lyngen Alps to the snow-capped peaks. The Narrows valley of Signaldal with lush vegetation is dominated by the characteristic summits of the Otertind.

Just a few meters from the port, these recently renovated apartments have all the comforts. The establishment also offers a restaurant. A vast wooden terrace, a part sheltered from rain and wind, just a few dishes on the menu, including a seafood platter, or a delicious fish soup whose recipe the owner jealously guards. The place is as restful as it is enchanting. Here, more than at the North Cape (full of tourists), one has the feeling of being at the end of the world. The ideal place to set off on an adventure and escape the daily grind!

Here's a pretty cheap option. The rooms are rather rudimentary, but they offer a good level of comfort and are very well located, on the port, facing the crystal clear sea and the surrounding islands. You will also have the option to book a rorbu, a traditional fisherman's hut. The place is idyllic, less crowded than the North Cape and favourable to relaxation and rejuvenation. The company organizes many guided tours to discover the birds of the surrounding area by boat, a must if you are thinking of staying in Gjesvaer!

Outside the city. About 100 tent sites and nearly 200 caravan sites. On the spot, a grocery store and a café. It is rather spartan but there is nevertheless all the necessary comfort to stay a few nights or a week. And anyway, you don't go there to stay inside. A not too expensive place to stay overnight in a nice environment.

A hotel with 64 rooms, situated in a large and beautiful garden, with a restaurant, a gym and a sauna! The breakfast is great, with homemade scrambled eggs, fresh bread, lots of fruit and vegetables and lots of organic produce. A gym is welcome to keep you fit, and the sauna is a reward afterwards! In the afternoon, the hotel even serves free pastries to its guests between 3pm and 6pm, accompanied by tea and coffee. Probably the cheapest way to sleep. A set of small complexes of cabins and fishermen's huts scattered around the island's villages. The cabins are available from May to September, but it is also possible to rent them in winter, ideal to admire the northern lights if the weather is good (ask before by sending them an email). The large, red building at the entrance to Honningsvåg houses the youth hostel. If you are coming by bus, please inform the driver, who will drop you off nearby. Be careful, the hostel is quite far away from the centre. REMA, the supermarket, is not very far but Honningsvåg village is at least 40 minutes walk or 10 minutes by bus. The rooms, from single to 6 persons, are rather minimalist. The place is not particularly warm but everything is very clean and functional, and that's the main thing! The welcome is friendly.

Located on the port, the cabins offer a view on the sea. They are fully equipped with a small kitchen, private bathroom with hot water, TV, Internet connection, parking. Small terrace with barbecue available. The price also includes the rental of a small boat. But excursions at sea are also proposed. There are some nice walks nearby and if you are lucky you might see some beautiful birds without having to go on an organised walk! Bed linen and towels provided.
