In this apartment not far from the centre you can not only eat tortellini, but also learn how to make them! Bolognese cooking courses are organized for professionals, amateurs and tourists. Since 2002, it has been part of the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), forming a public scientific research centre in which around 100 people work, including astronomers and students from all over the world.

The planetarium has a 12-metre diameter dome capable of projecting a faithful image of the celestial vault visible to the naked eye. It can also show the starry sky under different conditions.

Born in Catania on 24 November 1924, Salvatore Furia moved to Varese on¹ October 1940. Fascinated by nature, he never ceases to promote this exceptional natural site and its quality sky (he is notably at the origin of a law protecting the night sky from light pollution in March 2000) and he founded the observatory in 1956 and develops it with passion. And it is a real success! Daytime visits are appreciated (even more so in the evenings), which allow visitors to enjoy a splendid view of the region.

Among the hills covered with pastures, olive trees and vineyards, there is the family-run farmhouse I Moresani, which produces its own cheese, olive oil and wine. You can sign up for cooking classes, which focus on typical Cilento recipes (pasta, sauces, meats and side dishes). The farmhouse also rents out rooms and apartments, and has a restaurant where you can taste the products of the farm.

Near the Torrigiani garden, 20 minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio, this cooking school is not lacking in arguments! The place is beautifully warm, the two chefs Michele and Danny are especially attentive with their day students, and the classes focus on sustainable agriculture and local Tuscan ingredients. After a must-see tour of the market and the selection of certified products, you will learn how to cook a traditional, healthy and tasty Italian meal. Many of the menus are vegetarian, all of them are a great source of inspiration.
