Pasta dishes include classics such as linguine with clams or mussels, for a reasonable price. The fish is caught by the owner's own boats and the vegetables are of his own production.

This restaurant, located right in front of the boat landing, offers, in addition to lake fish dishes (such as the famous grilled lake salmerino or the persico dorato, perch with polenta), honest pizzas and well-stuffed calzones. The place isn't very big, with only a dozen or so tables inside, so you'd be better off opting for the take-away option to enjoy all these snacks on the nearby Carlo Alberto square and its sunny benches...

The only restaurant (not trattoria) of Castelmezzano! Its creative menu and leader who participated in the 2015 Expo in Milan attracted the curious. Small advice: if you have trouble choosing, order cavatelli with sausage on a bean cream, or the black pig cooked at low temperature with lemon scented potatoes and chicory, and dessert, cold cream cream with wild fennel seeds and ficotto di Pisticci (juice obtained from an endemic variety of figs in the Metaponto region).

This bakery in the centre of Turin offers 100% natural bread, free of brewer's yeast, palm oil, preservatives, sugar and many other ingredients often used in bread making. Panacea is in fact part of the Filiera della Farina di Stupinigi, a social cooperative that produces flour in a natural way not far from Turin, and then makes bread with natural leaven (here called pasta madre). Like this unforgettable Ligurian rabbit, deliciously prepared with its small vegetables and homemade sauce.

Without doubt the best restaurant in the village, in the heart of the little streets of Canazei. An address that takes as much care of its plates as its glasses. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, whether you're sitting at one of the large tables, or at the counter chatting with the cheeky waiters. It's hard to choose, but the sliced beef with mushrooms and vegetables, washed down with a pinot gris, was divine, as was the pork shank with polenta flavored with fresh mushrooms. The desserts are just as tempting and hearty, so save room!

A rather rare address in Cortina, and above all a practical and inexpensive stop for a snack in the heart of the resort. In this unpretentious and well-located shop, pizzas are prepared to take away, even if, in summer and winter, a few small outdoor and indoor tables also allow you to sit on the terrace to enjoy your share on the spot. Nothing to say about the quality. The pizzas have a thin and crunchy dough, the toppings are generous, with a choice of tomatoes, mozzarella, mushrooms, salami, peppers and ricotta, among others.

Contrary to what its name suggests, this restaurant is not located at the Pordoi Pass, but in the heart of the village of Arabba. This mountain inn and restaurant with geraniums on the balconies and wainscoting everywhere is renowned for its excellent regional cuisine at reasonable prices. There are specialities with nettle, speck from the Alto Adige and other specialities in sauce that keep body and soul together with the cold. There are also excellent pizzas.

Davide Palluda, Piedmont's Michelin-starred chef, runs two open-air entities inside the Enoteca regionale del Roero: the All'Enoteca restaurant upstairs, and the Osteria dell'Enoteca, inaugurated in 2013, on the first floor. We tried theOsteria, whose prices are much lower than those of the restaurant, and highly recommend it. The regional gastronomic tradition is very well interpreted and beautifully presented, with a considerable choice of wines, all in a very pleasant setting. A great address!

Magnificent agriturismo on the banks of the Po river and very close to the A21 motorway (exit Caorso). The covered terrace, facing the river and bordered by trees, forms the bucolic and peaceful setting of the restaurant. We come to forget that the Po has made the industrial fortune of northern Italy! After an antipasto of gnocco fritto and local delicatessen, try the "Po flavoured" pasta or dishes of freshly caught river fish. Family atmosphere. The establishment offers a world cuisine, between tradition and modernity, serving tagliolini with asparagus, baccalà alla portoghese, falafel recipes or köfte with tzatziki. A historic brewery-restaurant with a beautiful wood-panelled room and chandeliers. It offers South Tyrolean cuisine and craft beers. The waiters move between the tables in traditional costume. A fresh giant pretzel bread is served with the nonna salad, speck chips, trentignana (a kind of parmesan cheese) and honey sauce. Try the pork goulash with canerderli (Tyrolean dumplings), also known as knödels, a must. A little too touristy though.

According to the locals, it is one of the best trattorias in Cefalù. In fact, the restaurant is always full and it is better to make a reservation, especially for dinner. The setting is rather chic, just like the plate. The octopus salad with asparagus sauce as a starter, the plate of "crudi", seafood in carpaccio and tartar, will whet your appetite. Alberto Navari and his mother, Giuseppina, have created an elegant, friendly and original place here. Indeed, the dishes, all delicious and reasonably priced, can be enjoyed around a central island. The experience is all the more user-friendly. Zeb Gastronomia is therefore a restaurant that honours traditional family cuisine, but it is also a delicatessen that the inhabitants of the district love.

Behind the Excelsior Hotel, a few steps from the Festival Palace and the Casino, Tavernetta offers refined cuisine featuring dishes from Venetian and Tuscan cuisine. In a quiet street perpendicular to Corso Italia, this is the ideal place to discover the piadina, and also to fill up a little hunger between two visits! This Romagna speciality consists of a thin cake, made of wheat flour and lard, with a lot of filling. Simple but effective. Crunchy and delicious. The service is fast. We loved the bresaola, parmesan and arugula, on the terrace, with a cold craft beer. Vegetarian option available. And you, for which piadina will you fall for?

In summer, the layout of the terrace is in keeping with the charm of this former residence, located on the elegant Saturnia Square. Nice room, but the real added value is the terrace with its splendid view of the lake. Recommended for all those who want to eat well, even the setting is charged. A few well-kept rooms for those who would like to stop longer.

You'd think you were at the door of a small grocery store, but it's actually a small restaurant serving fresh pasta! Mimi e Cocò is also a wine bar, for those who prefer to sit quietly on the terrace and enjoy a glass of wine.
