Taken over by Alberto Gomes in 1973, the family business is going strong with its Aveiro specialties: the inevitable ovos molhes, castanhas d'ovos (egg yolk and cooked sugar), broinhas d'ovos (egg yolk and flour) and raivas cookies, very popular with the locals. The store, elegantly decorated and very chic, has a counter to place orders and a small tasting room on the floor. An institution!
