CELLERS D'EN GUILLA
Read moreThis small wine structure, which has 12 hectares of vine vines exclusively from the Empordà, produces no more than 50 000 bottles per year. Rather than favouring industrial production, the Cellers d'en Guilla opted for meticulous and quality work. Celler from Guilla develops wines with the unique variety of Empordà (Garnatxa Roja). The Vinya del Metge (a young rosé wine), Edith (a white wine aged in the barrel) and two sweet Garnatxa wines typical of the Empordà (Garnatxa and Sol i Serena). The vineyard also develops two aged red wines for six months (Rec de External) and one year (Bruel) in bottle. All have received international awards from Madrid to Brussels. It is possible to visit in French, with breakfast if desired, from 11 am to 14 pm, on prior reservation only.
LAS BODEGAS JESUS NAZARENO
Read moreFounded in 1963, this former bodega traditionally produces wines with the Montilla-Moriles appellation. If you visit, you'll be able to follow the winemaking and selection processes at every stage, ending, of course, with a tasting. As this winery is something of an institution in the town, it has also set up a small museum with photos and posters tracing its history and that of the grape harvest.

Read moreNear the School of Equestrian Art, you will appreciate the architecture of its farming cellars and explanations about the history, manufacture, grape varieties, few photos people of visitors (Antonio Banderas and others)… and, of course, final tasting before the passage into the shop (fino, moscatel, amontillado, Pedro Ximénez, brandys and various accessories). Visits to wineries can be carried out in French (in week at 14 p. m.) by a delicious Andalusian youth. The mark created by a Scots in 1790 is authenticated by the famous "gift". A black cape, it is a kind of Zorro of Sherry, wearing Portuguese cape and Andalusian hat, good compromise between the two activities in Porto and Jerez de Sandeman.
