A famous family distillery, the Xoriguer company quickly became an institution on the island. Gin appeared in Menorca during the English presence in the 18th century, when no strong alcohol was produced here. It was at the beginning of the 20th century that the Xoriguer brand was created by Miguel Pons Justo. Its name comes from the old windmill where the wheat was turned into white flour. It has become the emblem of the brand, visible on all bottles.

Llivins is a project led by three friends since 2011, when they took the gamble of producing wine at an altitude of over 1,200 meters. To guarantee the quality of the wine and the attention paid to all the stages of its production, the winery has been established in the farm where the vineyard is located. Located at the edge of the village and on a hill with a breathtaking view of the region, Mas Pòlit has 8 hectares of vineyards, cultivated in ecological culture. The wines have been awarded the Vinari Prize for the best aged wine in Catalonia and the Vinari d'Or for the best wine of the DO Empordà. These are mountain vineyards with slate soil and close to the sea, two ideal conditions for producing grapes of excellent quality. Behind a beautiful red façade lies a small paradise for epicureans... Founded in 1890, this prestigious establishment in the historic center of Pamplona is the place to go if you want to buy wine or pacharán, a typical Navarrese liqueur. In the grocery store, you will also find a good selection of regional products to bring back in your suitcases: pimientos del piquillo (typical red peppers), asparagus from Navarra, bonito del norte (tuna), ecological olive oil from Navarra, pochas (white beans) and canned beans...

Licors Biniarbolla, a family business specializing in the artisanal production of liqueurs for over 50 years, has changed its name to Colonia Suestra. The company holds the traditional recipe of the monks of Monte Toro de Menorca, which current owner Cristina Quintana inherited from her grandparents. The Maó-based factory distills a wide range of drinks and spirits, including the famous licor d'herbes. The herbs and fruits are macerated in such a way as to preserve the medicinal and digestive properties of each of the liqueurs (herbal, chamomile, lemon and mandarin). All these products are sold under the Biniarbolla name. But times are changing so much that Cristina has decided, in order to adapt to demand, to open up new perspectives for the distillery. In keeping with traditional processes, she began distilling gin! Glop gin is a raw-flavored product that honors the Menorcan terroir and its strong character, while iNNat gin is more nuanced, releasing aromas of juniper, pine, rosemary and lemon, not to mention a touch of red fruit and blueberry! Taking Biniarbolla, Glop and iNNat together, the company produces no less than 30,000 bottles a year! It's also worth noting that all bottling, labeling and sealing operations are carried out entirely by hand, lending an artisanal touch to this very local company.

Located 3 km from Sant Antoni, Can Rich, which presented its first wine production in 2000, is the largest winery on the island and is part (along with 3 other wineries producing local wine) of the "Vino de la Tierra de Ibiza" label. In this estate of more than 40 hectares, wine and 100% ecological olive oil are produced, as well as hierbas Ibicencas, the typical Ibiza liqueur. A visit to this winery will allow you to learn more about the winemaking process and the rural customs of Ibiza. Plan to do some shopping!

A little different story for this Vinyeta. Josep and Marta are two young owners who began their activities in 2002, with only 4 hectares of Calf De vines. With the help and experience of the previous owner, they planted others, built their bodega and produced their first bottles in 2006. Very welcoming, they themselves receive visitors to show them the vines and the bodega. The reception can be done in French. You can also buy eggs and cheese, the youngest of their activities.

This Mas Llunes is located opposite the Garriguella cooperative and its wines are presented in a 1,260 square metre bodega with a decidedly modern look, built in 2000. Every year it processes around 200,000 kg of grapes from the 48 hectares of vineyards owned. It is a bit like the "Rolls-Royce" of Empordà wines, which has earned this Mas Llunes many awards, all of which are well-founded.

Founded in 1963, it is one of the region's most traditional and traditional co-operatives. This has earned him the honours of many publications. This co-operative encompasses 3 different activities: wine cellar where a dry and soft wine develops; the agro shop with sale of km 0 products and a tasting area. A restaurant also allows to accompany the tasting by quaintly with plates of cheese or sausages. Guided tours are offered and can even include a gastronomic menu, a visit to Sant Quirze de Colera Monastery or the Turtle breeding centre.

Located in the village of Pau, this is a group of small producers in the region who founded their co-operative in 1947, located in Pau and Roses and merged in 2005. The co-operative now covers 230 hectares of vineyards cultivating vines of white Grenache, Macabeu and Moscatell in Alexandria for white wines and Grenache wines for red wines. Introduction of new varieties such as Syrah, Sauvignon Sauvignon or Merlot. And also has 500 hectares of olive trees. The Empordàlia cooperative has also produced olive oil for several generations. In this Mecca of the DO's OD bodegues, the visit to the Oliveda group is a necessity. Founded in 1948, the company still maintains its family structure and currently produces 1 500 000 litres of wine, distributed between the appellations of origin OD Empordà-Costa Brava and Catalunya. Wine cellars focusing mainly on indigenous varieties such as grenaches and red carignan. You will be able to visit its tap museum, bringing together 5 000 pieces from the whole world, from the Middle Ages to the present day, a creation of grandfather Oliveda, maintained since. Another family tradition, the realization of highly creative wine labels, since the house went up to production for Chinese customers, a Hello Kitty poster to illustrate a bottle of cava.

The numerous underground wine cellars in Torquemada are a veritable labyrinth, and the number of wineries is estimated to be more than 500. Asier, Amaya and Nerea inherited their passion for wine from their father. In their beautiful boutique in the Parte Vieja, they offer a vast selection of national and international wines, with no less than 1,000 references! After dreaming about it for a long time, Dido and Jurriaan, a Dutch couple, are now owners of a 25 hectare plot of land. On which the vines are grown biodynamically (100% natural, without addition or filtering). Made since 2020 in the old cooperative of Rabós, the wines they produce have names derived from albums or songs that form their soundtrack: Cloudbusting, Magic Potion, Sugar Magnolia and Doolittle, with new ones every year. Since spring 2023, you will also enjoy a restaurant with a view of the cellar.

Open since.... 1902, this cellar has been run by the Cabello family for several decades and is a Madrid institution. And the wine merchants will advise you (with a smile on your face!) every time and offer you a good bottle found in the 120 ^m2 cellar under the shop. It is better, because with more than 900 labels of Spanish wines and spirits, there would be enough to spend a long time there! Of course, there is something for every budget, with prices ranging from less than 3 euros per bottle to.... 900 euros!

This family estate is located in Rioja, the oldest and most famous wine region in Spain. Quality and subtlety are the ambitions of the vineyard, whose star grape variety is Tempranillo, but it also includes indigenous grape varieties such as Graciano, Mazuelo, Viura and Malvasia. A special mention goes to their Murua Reserva wine, made from Tempranillo grapes and accompanied by small quantities of Graciano and Mazuelo. Founded in 1872, Bodegas Gran Feudo is one of the oldest wine producers in Spain and continues to produce some of Navarre's most emblematic wines, being the main wine exporter in Navarre. Internationally renowned for decades for the production of excellent wines of various grape varieties - Tempranillo, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Moscatel - the wineries open their doors by appointment, allowing the curious to tour the vineyards, the wineries themselves and taste!

Casa Cuartero (voted Spain's best "Gourmet and Gastronomy" store in 2021) is the place to go to stock up on manchego cheese (including Monte de Toledo designations of origin), turrón, Toledo olive oil and fine cuts of local charcuterie.
