Between a canteen and a small tavern for regulars, this simple and unadorned space, whose first vocation was the traditional tapas bar, has seen the arrival of a restaurant in the back room. Here you can eat good raciones and pintxos, including the excellent Bellota ham, canutillo (a kind of flaky stick) filled with cheese and anchovies, artichokes with ham and poached egg, scrambled eggs with mushrooms... But what makes the reputation of La Viña is its excellent tarta de queso (cheesecake), simply the best in Spain!

Reference chef Paco Roncero, a disciple of Ferrán Adriá, concocts original gourmet cuisine, with 2 Michelin stars, on the top floor of Madrid's casino. This historic building dating from 1910 is simply magnificent. And it's on the top floor that you can enjoy Roncero's highly creative cuisine. Decorated in pastel tones to give it a contemporary, elegant touch, the dining room is already a delight. And what about the terrace, open in summer to admire Madrid from its rooftops? Breathtaking!

Estado Puro offers top-notch tapas by Paco Roncero, a favourite disciple of Ferrán Adría, who also has a star in his Madrid restaurant La Terraza del Casino. Here the chef reappropriates the great Spanish classics such as the patatas bravas that he lines up like menhirs or his "21st century" tortilla that he dismembers squarely for a result that is always brilliant and fine. This tapas bar, which looks like a Hispanic dinner, is an excellent stopover after visiting the Prado and the capital's major museums.

This 18th century farmhouse offers a very pleasant setting with its cosy lounges and large garden where you can enjoy delicious grilled meats, a speciality of the house. The chuletas, turbots, monkfish cooked in their simplest apparatus are superb. They participate in the elaboration of a local cuisine where Iberian ham, asparagus and piquillos are the kings of the fiesta. Note that their Kobe meat comes from a farm in Hondarribia that specializes in this breed of Japanese origin. In season, try the guindillas and tomatoes from the vegetable garden!

Worthy of a Real Surfers'Lair, the Cabo Wabo features retro decoration with its surfing boards, top stools and wooden interior. At noon the bar is filled with montaditos (tapas on bread), but you can also order various salads and sandwiches. Good American-style desserts: cookies & cream, strawberry & cheesecake… 

Beautifully decorated with vaulted arches and paintings on the walls, this restaurant offers tasty Mediterranean cuisine. It specializes in grilled fish and meat. At random, you'll be able to savor tapas of grilled vegetables, toast of fuet, sausage, or secret de porc ibèric . If you're lucky enough to visit in summer, we recommend you take advantage of the upstairs terrace, which is particularly popular in the evening. A friendly welcome in a place to visit with friends or family.

Both a restaurant and a tapas bar, this establishment occupies a beautifully restored mansion in the historic center. The original setting offers tasty, well-presented market cuisine. The tapas tastings are well thought-out and the menu, with its more elaborate dishes and gastronomic touches, is a success. The tasting menu is a good option. While the place is charming, service can sometimes be a little brisk.

Located on the fourth floor of the Adonis Hotel, this Niokobok, from nothing in Senegalese Wolof, offers since 2019 a beautiful clear space, divided into two sub-areas, a more traditional restaurant with tablecloths and a corner more lounge, stool, high or low tables... Where you can either make a full meal or make a tapo. At the controls is Marc, a Frenchman who has been living in the Canary Islands for 20 years. The result is a short but refined menu and well-presented dishes. We enjoyed the ceviche de sama roquera, a small, very fine fish and its Marcuyá sauce. To be continued.

Here's a little address just the way we like it! Run by a friendly Frenchman from Chauvoncourt, a commune in the Meuse region, this bistro-restaurant is a delight, both for its old-fashioned setting full of carefully chosen antique details and for its relaxed atmosphere. It has to be said that the owner is extremely welcoming and does everything to make you feel at home. On the plate, the menu changes from day to day, depending on the harvest, the market and the chef's inspiration. A little corner of France in the heart of the village. We love it!
