LES FINES GUEULES
Read moreOne of our favorite addresses in the beautiful Pays de Herve, amidst the orchards of the plateau. The chef clearly likes to cook with an exotic touch: vegetarian wok with noodles and crunchy vegetables, grilled and spicy Thai beef salad, lamb mouse confit and tajine-style vegetables... We're fans of this cuisine, which moves from bistronomy to zenitude. The wine list caters for all price ranges. There's also a magnificent south-facing terrace on the garden lawn. The large dining room is also very welcoming. A must-try establishment.

LE CHAMPENOIS
Read moreOver the years, the house has kept its charm and its old classified staircase. The menu is really audacious, using rare ingredients, game, vegetables of yesteryear... Like this fillet of doe, its pumpkin and chestnut mousse, fried parsnips, cranberries and light mustard sauce... A revelation. The hake fillet, fried potato mousse, with parmesan crumble and burnt onion juice is just as invigorating. To conclude: a waffle from Liege, with its pear infused with bergamot and its pear - tonka bean sorbet. A real trip.
COSPAÏA
Read moreThe decorators who worked on this restaurant-bar had a free hand! They were able to make this place a place above the fray and it shows. A great challenge for the chef, who has followed suit with a menu that can be described as international. He has succeeded in this challenge and the cuisine excels in all areas, with an obvious love for seafood, beautiful meat preparations and Belgian touches. There are also some nice veggie surprises. To impress the gallery, note that Cospaïa was a republic of Umbria from the 15th to the 19th century.
TIGERMILK
Read moreIn Spanish, " leche de tigre " refers to the juice collected during the cooking of a raw fish ceviche with lemon. And indeed, the menu of this trendy new restaurant in Châtelain includes wonderful ceviches, but also salads bursting with vegetables and chicken or vegetarian dishes. The side/shares are already dishes, it's hearty, and the prices are affordable. The tigermilk ceviche was divine (haddock, tiger leche with coconut milk, mango, pomegranate, fresh coriander, roasted sweet potato). Make a reservation, it's often full.

LES CAVES DU BOUCHER
Read moreHoused in a superb vaulted cellar, this restaurant-wine bar offers a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The cuisine is modern and daring, a subtle blend of French gastronomy and world cuisine. The menu fluctuates with the seasons, market produce and the chef's mood. Meat dishes (rib steak, pork loin...) are particularly tasty, but vegans are not forgotten: there's a vegan proposal for every course. Quality wines are available by the glass and come from the four corners of the earth.

LE JARDIN DE FIORINE
Read moreThe dishes are typical of French and Belgian (fine) cuisine: local preparations, game in season, fish and shellfish... all with a literally breathtaking view over the Meuse! In this 19th century mansion, beautifully decorated in bright and pastel colours, paved with old tiles, you can also eat in the garden in the summer. The chef Jean-Luc Henrotaux is also a painter and the decoration is very personal. The menu of the month is seasonal, the lunch allows you to taste great cuisine at an affordable price.
THE LODGE
Read moreRestaurant and bar-club, one would think the address was reserved for loungers, but one can also enjoy it with family or lovers. The luminous decor, completely in line with the current trend, would almost make you forget the enormous terrace, redesigned on two levels, and the water feature, which give the impression of being immersed in nature. In short, a green setting in an essentially residential area. The very fusion-food menu is a happy mix of flavors from here and elsewhere. Several all-in menus are available for groups of twelve or more.
GRAND CENTRAL
Read moreThe warm neo-retro setting of this restaurant appeals to loyal customers and curious passers-by. To start your meal, don't hesitate to order cocktails accompanied by tapas to share them joyfully. No starters here, the dishes are already quite copious. No less than nine burgers are competing for the spotlight, as well as dishes such as goat's salad, semi-cooked salmon a la plancha or roasted cod. Something for everyone. For dessert, try Ay Caramba: an almond milk ice cream, chocolate, praline, caramelized peanuts, brownie, Carambar, and chocolate and caramel coulis. Just like that! To note a nice card of rums and a nice choice of beers (about 40). A very nice address.
A MALTE
Read moreThis precious island is located in a quiet street, at walking distance from the busy Louise main land, an other exotic ambiance restaurant that you never forget about. It's been around twenty years, although it feels more like two hundred. You just expect the likes of Baudelaire or Lord Byron to step in with a bunch of bohemian friends and order plates of truffle stuffed ravioli. Besides a nice choice of pastas, Le Malte offers a few solid salads, including chicken livers with raspberry jelly and caramelized apples. Seafood lovers will find their satisfaction, and the house burger won't take anything away from the lamb filet or the duck confit. And yes, their's warm tarte Tatin and lemon meringue pie for dessert. If you are unconceivably in a hurry for lunch, they serve 8.50 € plats du jour in ten min. On Sundays, all main courses are 10 €. And if your bohemian friends wish to purchase any painting decorating the walls, just ask to add it to the bill.
D’OUDE STATIE
Read moreA little away from the city centre, this «old station» - a literary translation - is located right next to… the old station. Here it is Mrs. who is in kitchen and in the Room. And it's going pretty well, as the customer satisfaction shows. Made with fresh products, the card changes almost every day according to the market's vagaries. A combination of French, Belgian and Mediterranean cuisine, the dishes are déclinent in salads where meat and fish coexist. Do not trust the classicism of desserts: they are all home-made and as the most reluctant. In winter, the pot is set in this modern bistro, grey mouse, black and cream.
