It takes 45 minutes to reach it, a rather intense ascent, but the effort is quickly forgotten, as the site is a true earthly paradise. On the way it is not uncommon to come across squirrels who will keep you company for a few metres. Once at the waterfall you have the choice between going back down or continuing the ascent.

ROAD FROM TAEBAEK TO DONGHAE
Read moreWe recommend this magnificent route which winds between passes in deep valleys. Whatever means of transport you choose (bus, train...), you can enjoy the landscape along route 38. But here, if you want to fully enjoy the scenery, the train or bus seems more appropriate. It is indeed difficult for the driver of the car to really enjoy the panorama; indeed, the road is winding and one can hardly stop. Be careful with the bus for people suffering from motion sickness: it goes up, down and around a lot.... After the station of Dongni, we arrive at the top of the valley from where there is a superb view of a string of mountains that leads to the sea (a true paradisiacal landscape). The train then makes long detours in the mountains to go down into the valley, as the gradient is too high for a direct route. He even does a reverse gear to start the last descent before heading back down into the valley! Note the small town of Dogye, a mining town with hovels clinging to the mountainside in a narrow valley, an unusual landscape for those accustomed to the ultra-modern and rich Seoul. Around Singi there is a very clean river with beautiful green waters. 9 km from the station is the Hwaseongul Cave, the most beautiful cave in the East say the brochures. In short, if you have time, run to discover this Korean nature, mystical and grandiose.

Read moreAt only 510 m above sea level, it is not the largest of the mountains. This makes it the ideal ascent for Sunday hikers who are put off by the long, steep slopes. This mountain has always been considered the spiritual guardian of the Yeosu Peninsula. In older times, it was used for collecting prayers. At the end of March and beginning of April, a festival is held here, during which activities take place such as a ritual in honor of the mountain god, a photo contest and the election of Miss Azaleas.

GANWORAM HERMITAGE
Read moreIt may not be the most imposing hermitage in the country, but it has the merit of being really very original. And that's what attracted us. At low tide, it is connected to the shore by a natural path, which disappears little by little at high tide, thus placing the hermitage as if on an island. In a way it is a bit like the Mont Saint-Michel. This hermitage, founded by the monk Muhak, during the reign of Taejo (1335-1408), is quite fascinating as well as very charming at sunset, when it is elegantly reflected on the water.
