SANJEONG LAKE

It's one of the wonders of the region. It is an artificial lake created to water the surrounding farms. For the record, the north Korean leader Kim Il-sung had a villa there during the war. There are walks to be done in the surrounding mountains or by the lake, which can be done in 2 hours. This lake surrounded by mountains becomes almost mystical when the fog falls. But the most pleasant part is on the other side of the mountain. We arrive at the small touristic village situated on the lake shore in a very appreciable mountainous cirque.
