Approximately two hours from Seoul, this city is a little gem that offers natural settings as beautiful as they are varied. Its mountains, its emerald lake are particularly beautiful in autumn. In Pocheon there is a real harmony between man and nature. The city is beautiful and moreover one eats well there. Its culinary speciality is idong galbi (marinated and then grilled beef). The Idong Galbi Village is a whole street dedicated to this dish. Another speciality of the city is magkeolli (rice wine) of which Pocheon has its own version and which goes wonderfully with grilled meat
