A modern, colorful building (red and orange, impossible to miss) with comfortable, bright rooms. The price is high for the category, but the hotel is fairly recent and the overall package is reasonable for the services offered. The downtown location is a plus. The restaurant serves well-balanced European and Central Asian specialties. The hotel is especially popular in winter, because of its proximity to the ski slopes. Transport to the slopes is included in the room rate.

The name of the establishment is clearly a little pompous compared with the actual services provided, but the well-negotiated rates still reveal comfortable and rather spacious rooms. It's not exactly luxury, but for Karakol it's a lot! In addition to rooms equipped with everything you need (including wifi), hotel guests can take advantage of the sauna and pool table. For backpackers looking for a change from tents and yurts, this is the place to be after a trek in the mountains.

If you're trekking to Lake Ala Kul or the Altyn Arashan valley, you're bound to stop here. Comfort is basic in the old house, but to cope with the crowds, new wooden rooms have been fitted out with simple bedding and private bathrooms. If your stay is longer, you'll be able to take advantage of the valley's magnificent pastures. Horses can be hired by the hour (approx. 500 som) or by the day (1 rate to be negotiated with the guide, to go as far as the foot of Lake Ala Kul).

The staff have succeeded in virtually removing the Brezhnevian spirit from this old downtown building. The rooms have been very well renovated and are very comfortable and warm. Although not necessarily spacious by standard standards, they are well appointed and equipped with recent bedding. The bathrooms have also been renovated and are perfectly functional. We'd appreciate a little extra decoration, but all in all, it's good value for money. Very nice breakfast buffet.

The little brother of the Sunrise Osh Hotel opened its doors not far from his elder brother. A comfortable establishment with its own 10 parking spaces and a restaurant offering lunch and dinner à la carte. In addition to its hotel services, Sunrise offers short and long term excursions and tours, à la carte or tailor-made.

It's a convenient place to stay for not too much money, and close to the center. But don't look for anything else, and be aware that even "cheap" is still a little too expensive for this Soviet-style establishment, which could do with a solid refresh. In the best rooms, however, you'll find a TV and hot water. The vaguely repainted lobby is a little more "smiling", but it's still expensive for the level of service on offer. Try to negotiate the rates if you're staying more than one night - it's usually possible.

This very confidential hotel consists of two apartments located in a building behind the Russian bank (formerly known as the Promstoibank, for taxi drivers). Usually frequented by bank employees coming from Bishkek, there are often free rooms. Comfort is basic but it is central, and Fatima and Zukhra, who bought the business in 2016, have given the establishment a little freshness. Don't expect too much charm and decoration, but comfort will be there.

Close to the park, a modern, Western-style hotel with clean, bright and rather spacious rooms. Hot water is sometimes temperamental, but always quickly restored. It's still very impersonal and lacking in character, but if you're looking for comfort, this is the best you'll find in Jalalabad. Restaurant and outdoor terrace along the park. Please note that some rooms may be noisy due to the many loudspeakers playing music in the park.

This Soviet-era building deserved a solid renovation. Rather than redoing everything by half, the management has focused on redoing a single floor, the 5th, but in a flawless manner. Charm and comfort in bright rooms with lovely views. All of them are in western style, perfectly equipped and have wifi. The management manages with the same success the Prego Bar & Restaurant as well as a small farm, about 40 kilometres from Bishkek, for those who would like to enjoy the peace and quiet for a few days.

A luxurious establishment with all the top-of-the-range facilities you could wish for: a rarity in the country! The rooms are rather large and very pleasant to live in. Soberly decorated in the European style, they unfortunately lack a little light to make them really pleasant. The hotel, which caters primarily to business travelers, offers a full range of relaxation facilities: hammam, sauna, spa and fitness center. The hotel has the added advantage of being conveniently located in the center of Bishkek.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful parkland and features a restaurant, bar, fitness and spa area and swimming pool. You'll also find a selection of international press magazines on the first floor. Book through an agency to benefit from negotiated rates, as those displayed at reception are obviously very high.
