It's a must at one of your parties in Bishkek. Ask for the program: ballet, opera, classical music... it is not only very varied but also very popular, according to the rule of the right to culture for all wanted during the Soviet period. And despite the low prices, the shows are of very good quality. Avoid the theatre if you don't speak Russian, but ballet or opera are definitely worth the trip. The building itself is splendid, with its classic orange-coloured façade and the beautifully decorated and crafted interior.

A long bar where all Americans passing through or based in Bishkek linger entire evenings. Match broadcasts, burger, pizza and tex-mex menus and cheap beer have made this establishment a success, as has its location in the prestigious setting of a former theatre. Unfortunately, it is a bit deserted during the week, but is still nice for the weekend evenings, when bands come to put some atmosphere on pop-rock rhythms and the bar is transformed into a dance floor.

Concerts of Western or Kyrgyz music are frequently held here, with occasional traditional dance performances. The programs are available at the cash registers, located on the west side of the building. Prices have remained very low since the Soviet era, and there are very good seats for all kinds of programs, so don't deprive yourself of the experience, it's worth it. In front of the Philharmonic, there is a statue of the hero Manas, the main character in the great lyrical epic of the same name.

The trendiest club in Bishkek for years. Pop or electro atmosphere depending on the evening, DJ and live music, shows, go-go dancers... But on the whole, there is a very clear 80's dominant in the musical programming and in the atmosphere. All the ingredients are there for a recipe that has worked for years. It's a bit off-centre and it's better to book a taxi to get into the centre rather than take one on the way out. Be careful, the female clientele is not necessarily attracted only by your humour and your style..

A very pleasant place to have a drink or sip a coffee at the end of the day. The room is air-conditioned and is next to a very nice souvenir shop. But you can also choose to relax on the terrace where very comfortable armchairs and sofas have been arranged: ideal after a long day of wandering around town. Espresso, western beers and homemade pastries complete the picture, and you can also order some snacks and fresh fruit juices depending on the season (melon juices are a marvel!).

A little expensive but the establishment is mostly frequented by expatriates and benefits from it. The terrace is an ideal observatory to watch the passing of time and passers-by. Inside, comfortable armchairs and sofas surround a bar filled with appetizing desserts and fresh fruit juices to be ordered throughout the day, in a rather calm and family atmosphere. Good choice of coffees and teas. In the evening, cocktails are just as good. After the last bars have closed, the Adriano welcomes Bishkek's night owls.

One of the most recent cinemas in Bishkek, built by a Turkish group offering many Russian films but also all the American blockbusters. Some are dubbed but most films are only subtitled. The halls and seats are very correct, as well as the sound and image, and Russia has become the meeting place for all film students or simply lovers of emotions in Bishkek. A small café and a restaurant serving mainly snacks complete the set for those who want to linger after the session.
