A red-brick building houses a dozen rooms simply but comfortably furnished. Each has its own bathroom and a balcony from which the view of the Himalayas is magnificent. The restaurant's large dining room is welcoming, with a sitting area around a central fireplace, the dishes are delicious and we love the kindness of the staff. A very good address.

No wonder the address has its regular customers. A large nicely planted garden and good breakfasts served on the terrace overlooking the Swayambunath temple complete the picture. The sober and clean rooms are distributed in two buildings located one behind the other. All have an adjoining bathroom. We like it.

The initiator of this concept of charming Newar rentals is Camille! This Frenchwoman, who has lived in Patan for many years, offers cocoon apartments, jewels of characterful Newar architecture, superbly restored and furnished. Every detail of decoration is tastefully thought out, and the facilities are adapted to both short and long stays. For forty years, the owners of the place have collected and restored hundreds of sculptures from the valley with passion. Sculpted windows and restored temple elements decorate this upscale hotel complex. Krishnarpan, the restaurant of the establishment, offers a wide range of Nepalese dishes. If the address is not accessible to all budgets, it is worth a look, if only for tea.
